Find it hard to believe. The president might have to re-think that when he talks to the engineers! Would have quite a bit of Lag I would think, if its not supercharged. The Audi 3000cc S/C V6 only puts out 245kw.

Make more sense to TT the V8 to make a M5 rival. Not sure any V6 would be really considered a M5 rival.

Will look on with interest.

Its a bit of an ask, especially when the the GTR runs a 3.8L engine which makes less power

Yea, read this article earlier, seems like a crazy amount of power from just a 3L turbo... it will be one engineered with Mercedes though I imagine seeing as they are supposed to be doing business together.

I guess they could get away with a bit of lag, their target audience will certainly not be 21-30 yr old car lovers looking for a daily with balls...

I think the more mature buyers would be more critical of Lag if they are trying to compete with MB / BMW.

The modern turbo cars lean more towards smaller turbos with high response.
