Hatsumoude - Japanese people often visit a local shrine shortly after the New Year begins to pray for good things etc.

Another one from Hatsumoude (the kanji's reading is Hastumoude). I took a bunch of photos here but when I looked on the PC they were all out of focus except for these two.

Kit Kat Azuki bean sandwich - famous food from the Tokai area.

I went snowboarding and stayed overnight at a Japanese style inn. Fantastic view but there were no showers in the rooms (only the onsen) and it was almost as cold inside as out.

For some reason the inside of the inn had some local wildlife stuffed and mounted.

Skifields at Ontake. Not bad at all but I prefered Takasu.

These are not my videos but i thought it would be good to put them with the photos. they are the video's from the 2012-13 HTB illumination display. the 3D castle was much MUCH better in real life than the video (obiously). watch them in 720p

I really liked huis tein Bosch. Wouldn't mind going again one day

Stayed at a little place called unzen (hell) due to the natural springs making it so hard to see through the mist. Went up the mountain in nagasaki and was a pro photographer who snapped a pic of me and the Missus and sent it to us. Nice area!!

ah i went to an onsen at unzen last year. loved the place. but i didnt have enough time to go back there this year :(

Had tabehoudai at unzen and fark they put on some awesome food. My wife and friends we went together with still talk about it.

Proposed at unzen after forgetting to take the ring in Nagasaki city up to the skyline and check the view. She will never let me forget about it cos I was pretty pissed and fell asleep almost immediately after haha

its deffinatly a good place to go. not many other people that i talk to in Japan have ever been there.

this is where we stayed in unzen, reaaaaaaalllllyyy nice place. a feast for the eyes

i've only been back 4 days and i'm already looking at flights back over there in march. need to get back there ASAP

I lived in Miyazaki so ventured around Nagasaki, Kumamoto and f*kuoka a few times on weekend trips with friends.

That place looks awesome. Very very nice

Best room I ever stayed at was in Kumamoto near Aso. Piece of crap looking place and average inside but they built a new floor with 5 new rooms. Absolutely stunning. had an outdoor onsen on the balcony that was just unreal. Ill send you a pic one day when I get my computer going again

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
