Hey hows it going just curious on the fact whether or not i should sell my r33 GTS-T and buy a GT-R, ive seen a few GT-R im interested in but the price is a bit high and after

buying the GT-R the money that would have to go into it to make it even quicker, so yeh was just hoping i could get some info off you fans and see what i should do! :)

r33 gtr's (and 32gtr) have droped in price significantly over the last 12-18months so i wouldn't really whinge to much about the price. There great bang for your buck at the moment and if you've always wanted one i say go for it.

But be aware, if you buy cheap, you'll generally get a car in average condition and you'll end up spending the price difference fixing it up. Full inspection is a must.

If you can't afford to buy two gtr's, you generally won't be able to afford running one.

I guess you would have to ask yourself, if I am going to spend $10-20,000 on my gtst what would happen if I crashed it at the track or somebody ran into me. Ok, so now ask how you would feel if you just spent twice that on your gtr. Like alot of people find out sooner or later is, it's all fun and games till someone loses an eye.

just bolt on a big turbo on your gtst on e85 youl push well over 300, would be a weapon

people have said .. theyve gone from a gtst to a gtr and actually preferred the feel of a gtst, gtrs are more smooth and you dont feel the power hit as gtst

just keep that in mind

im very interested in buying this R33 GT-R V-spec has 390hp on 95 octane, guy reckons it would hit mid 400's with 98 octane and a retune, the price on the car is 28g so far ive reduced him to 26,500 but hoping for more

of a price drop hoping to get 25g for it, you guys reckon its a good price?

    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
