Some games will be more then what a DVD disc you can buy over the counter can hold (4.7GB)..

You can get a sony DRU700A dual layer DVD burner (4.7GB + 4.7GB) now for under $300. The dual layer dvd's are not available yet but they will be soon.

Its not realy as simple as just copying the ps2 dvd.. there is a bit more into it than just that.

But it still can be done.... and now that single layer dvd's are ~80 cents each and DVD burners are about $150 its worth the invertment.

Cheers

Kero

surely that only applies to a limited number of games though.

ps2 modchips have ben around for a looong time

Yeah not many games at all are more than 4.7G.....

There are a few tricks like downsampling the movies to make them fit on a single layer (DVD5) disk.

Movies - yes

Ps2 / Xbox - no

You can rip & burn both PS2 & XBOX games hella easy with a DVD Burner.

check out http://www.xbox-scene.com ....they have heaps of great info there

There's a place on liverpool rd in ashfield which does PS2s....9798 8462

If you wanna get an xbox done, go to this guy: http://www.hiteksystems.com.au he does mods, HDDs & provides warranty.

It is a piece of piss... but its not as easy as sticking in the dvd and press copy.... :(

For example xbox

1. You can not read a Xbox game disk in your pc.

2. You need to have a modded xbox.

3. Connect your xbox to your pc.

4. Install the evoX dashboard

5. From you PC Ftp to you xbox and copy the dvd to you pc.

6. Retail patch your *.xbe (for older mod chips)

7. Downsample movies if its over 4.7gig

5. Burn to dvd.

So yes its a piece of piss but not as easy as one may think.

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
