s2k7
First--thank you for letting me post here. I have a 280z datsun project using RB26 single turbo R33- I'm from New england area USA. I searched & read the single maf thread but a bit cloudy to me. At the end of the thread, seems the poster were not able to get the solution on how to setup powerfc l-jetro using single turbo and single maf. I can't PM the poster, his thread was 2007. Anyway, can you help and lead me to a thread or a person successfully setup up a single turbo-single maf? If single turbo setup is a bit tricky - I don't mind to go back using TT. I am open for suggestions. Thank you! Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/420360-single-maf-question/ Share on other sites
rgb
Which MAF are you using? I would assume that a single r33 GTR MAF would restrict airflow into the turbo too much, and you'd be having an airflow constraint resulting in much less power. Most people get a custom Y pipe that joins two MAFs into the turbo. s2k7
Thank you and I appreciate the feedback. I don't have a maf yet but I can also do a Y pipe you suggested. So, one into two? Put two airflo meter? Do you know which maf is suitable that read higher than the stock ? GTSBoy
The Z32 AFM is the obvious upgrade from RB26 AFMs, but even then you're supposed to use 2 of them. If you have the room, seriously just use 2 RB26 (or Z32 if you want to go for big power) AFMs in parallel, 2 into one as described above. Saves all that buggering around with trying to work out if you have to wire the single AFM to both inputs of the PFC or whatever other shenanigans have been suggested.
