Hey guys,

Have bought myself an r33 series 2 gtst. I noticed the other night when sitting still in traffic or sitting at lights with my foot on the brake and clutch the headlights dim.. And then as soon as I take my foot off the brake they come back up to normal again..

Is this a normal thing? Or could it be signs of an alternator going? Battery was changed just a couple months ago by previous owner.

Thanks,

Chris

If you have a spare good battery, try changing it and get a mate to hold the pedals while you look at the headlights. If it still does it then probably the atlernator. Either way it will cost about $120 to fix, if it is that.

Ok guys, found the source of the problem. This is strange, I found a switch underneath the steering wheel labelled "Reduce Lights".. Switching this to Off stops the lights from Fading away. Anybody know about this or why it would be installed?
