Yes I know this is a strange question but bear with me...

Basically I want to know if RB20DET injectors will fit an RB25DET standard manifold where the injector SEATS ON THE MANIFOLD, not the rail. I know RB20 are top feed and RB25 are side feed but I would be changing to a top feed rail anyway so that's not an issue.

The reason I'm asking this is not because I want to use standard RB20 injectors but because I am thinking of using upgraded DW 440cc injectors for an RB20 as they are considerably cheaper than the other options (upgraded DW RB26 top feed or RB25 side feed).

I have considered the option of getting used standard RB26 injectors but then I also have to factor in the cost of potentially needing them flow tested and cleaned and new o-rings which easily adds up to $200 on top of the initial purchase price. So it could end up being cheaper for me to get brand new injectors, which is a no-brainer.

Here's a link to the DW injectors: http://www.deatschwerks.com/products/fuel-injectors/sport-compact/nissan/skyline/rb20det/1989-94-rb20det/18u-02-0440-6-detail

Cheers,

Michael

they are just an ev14 injector, it can fit but you need to make some custom spacer type shims for them to sit in.

just like doing any top feed injector conversion on a rb25 - pretty standard stuff, so $325 for the injectors, plus getting a fuel rail, and a after market regulator, then you need to stuff around with the spacers for it to fit and all the extra fuel hoses and fittings, at the end of the day it will cost a few hundred $ more then grabbing a set of used nismo 555cc side feed injectors that is a drop in..

look around there are better options out there.

Thanks for your input, but I'm sort of shying away from used injectors because I have no way of knowing if they will need cleaning, whether they are a flow matched set etc. I can get shims made pretty easily/cheaply so that wouldn't be too much of an issue, but it's still a bit of mucking around I would rather not have to do, so I'll keep looking around.
