Quick Coilover Question

i have a set of tein HA coilovers in my r34, they dont go as low as i want so i was wondering if i remove the helper spring that sit under the main spring that are pretty useless when its maxed out and the struts compressed which will allow room for them to drop about 2-3cm more, is this a bad idea and will it mess with my coilovers? i have seen other sets for sale that are missing the little helper springs so im thinking its been done before

That depends on whether the springs will remain captive at full droop. If they will, then you're gold. If they won't then it's bad.
