My tuner in Perth who does f-con sold his last harness to me, but he said he can make them in a batch at a price.

I'm guessing east coast would have more

What would he be charging for them?

I'd guess he'd be able to sell a few.

Do you need the harness? Perhaps hard wiring is an option?

I have a spare ecu and wiring harness here, but there are 4 extra pins used that aren't in the oem loom...

Where are you located Dale?

Dales ftw :P. I'm in Auckland new Zealand. yep I would like the harness a bit daunting chopping all those cables lol. Scotty what would those 4 pins be used for are they just spare? whoa 800 pretty hefty but I guess I is an option

There is an HKS dealer in NZ somewhere apparently... Craig's old mate used them so I heard, and they apparently sourced a harness. (not sure if true or not)

The 4 pins are extra wires going back to the ecu from the Fcon that aren't normally used, and are not populated in the oem plug. No idea what they do yet, I just drive the car. :)

Quite possibly... For the right price. :)

Do you need the complete harness, or just the ecu plug?

What are your power goals with the car? The Fcon is an expensive tuning option, do you have the unit yet?

the goal is forever changing getting bigger and bigger I don't really have a specific goal figure yet it just when ever I can afford to pour more money into my sink hole of a fridge, I'm at the stage where I need a ecu to carry on I would hope to hit round 200kw with ecu and my current mods (intercooler, 3"exhaust, boost controller, intake, engine / trans coolers, shift kit, fuel pump) I don't have the ecu yet so I'm guessing I would need the full harness. hopefully after the ecu next step it to attack my turbo. as for price I know it's quite pricey but iv committed to this so I'm going to see it through :)

The stock turbo maxes out at around 200kw, and you need to lean on it pretty hard to get that. I hope you have factored in the highflow sooner rather than later, once the ceramic turbine lets go...

There is always the Emanage Ultimate, I ran mine to over 300kw before switching to HKS. Don't let anyone tell you they aren't a good option, they are very capable with a good tuner on the case.

yep I have for a while now with 160 000 on the clock with original turbo Haha .i know emanage are quite good too but I have my heart set on the front. let me know how much ya want for your spare ecu n harness :P

Bit of an update on the hunt

So apparently after millions of emails to various other countries it would appear that this part can only be supplied to authorized Fcon dealers Evin if they did have stock i couldn't get the harness due to HKS selling restrictions?? that's for the NP5-15 (42002-AN004)

another update

so I sent a email to David ([email protected])

he replied with this info so I thought I would post it up for anyone else in my situation

Price is $600 each (50% upfront, 50% when completed), with minimum group buy of 3, with lead time of approx 4-6 weeks.

Plus $100 each for base tune, and for the tune to also work with your choice of:

* wideband controller and analog output setting. (recommended for closeloop feedback/learning at idle, cruise & full-boost, otherwise engine checklight will be triggered)

* MAP sensor.

* injectors.

David.

Not a bad price, My spare loom and ecu wouldn't have cost much less shipped at a guess, and it would have been a shame to hack up perfectly good spare parts. How many other guys are willing to get on the group buy though?

    • I guess one thing that might be wrong is the manifold pressure.  It is a constant -5.9 and never moves even under 100% throttle and load.  I would expect it to atleast go to 0 correct?  It's doing this with the OEM MAP as well as the ECU vacuum sensor. When trying to tune the base map under load the crosshairs only climb vertically with RPM, but always in the -5.9 column.
    • AHHHH gotchaa, I'll do that once I am home again. I tried doing the harness with the multimeter but it seems the car needed a jump, there was no power when it was in the "ON" position. Not sure if I should use car battery jump starter or if its because the stuff that has been disconnect the car just does send power.
    • As far as I can tell I have everything properly set in the Haltech software for engine size, injector data, all sensors seem to be reporting proper numbers.  If I change any injector details it doesnt run right.    Changing the base map is having the biggest change in response, im not sure how people are saying it doesnt really matter.  I'm guessing under normal conditions the ECU is able to self adjust and keep everything smooth.   Right now my best performance is happening by lowering the base map just enough to where the ECU us doing short term cut of about 45% to reach the target Lambda of 14.7.  That way when I start putting load on it still has high enough fuel map to not be so lean.  After 2500 rpm I raised the base map to what would be really rich at no load, but still helps with the lean spots on load.  I figure I don't have much reason to be above 2500rpm with no load.  When watching other videos it seems their target is reached much faster than mine.  Mine takes forever to adjust and reach the target. My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
