Hey guys,

( mods move this if in the wrong spot, as said previously im just jumping straight back into SAU )

Im aspiring to kit my GTT to look like... a GTR!

Is this considered BAD TASTE or just someone wishing for better?

Links to wanted kit ( remove if not allowed, unsure, )

Around $1200 for the kit, followed by around half that to paint it myself, i think.

Thanks for all comments.

Haters will still be haters - do what you think looks good.

(just DONT badge it GTR please ...)

IMO I'd not go the whole 9 yards. unless your keen on it all.

Get the bits you like, if it turns out to be the whole kit then go for it.

Be an individual, not part of the heard.

As above ^^ providing you have side skirts and possibly rear pods, I would say just go front bar and wing. Not over-done but looks better than stock. As said above as well, it's your car, you're the one that will be seeing it day to day so choose what YOU like best.

Haha i would NEVER gtr badge it, disgraceful.

And yeah the front bar and wing are the main things i am chasing, the skirts and rear bar i am just trying to keep the look consistsnt. Maybe with the rear pods ( because i do like my rear bar now) it will be enough.

As per above; but also...

Make sure you take your car physically to CarMate if you still intend using them and fit the kits on the spot before handing over $$.

Some parts may fit well - and others might fit badly.

This is my old car with the front amd wing only to give you an idea of how it will look. I got my kit from bodyform aero amd was a great fit. I would get nismo style side and nismo rears instead of those you've chose if you want it to look more like a gtr

That looks good man!

I want slightly wider from guards that still look stock as i dont really like bodykits... Although you see some cars that are done properly with kits and i want them lol... I guess its all about how much you spend and who you get to do it as to the overall result!

    • 1/8NPT drill size = 8.7mm. Since the hole got messed up by me, it’s probably around 9mm.    So 1/4” NPT would be next step. A drill size of around 11mm would be preferred there which is not way of my M12 (drill 10.5mm and tap M12 threads)

    • Why are you so adamant on going M12? Why not follow Brad (GTSBoy) suggestion. You're talking moving from a 1/8" size, to a 1/2" effectively. 4 times bigger. Why skip the commonly available sizes in between? The bigger you go, the more likely you are to strip the threads out at a later date, as guaranteed, someone will put a huge spanner on the M12 and really tighten it up, and you're only in thin wall, so not a lot of threads to engage!
    • Hi. Yeah thanks. Car is already at tuners and it staying there to resolve "many" issues they do not like. So it is in a good hands. Getting a good tune on that Nistune ECU too so the car would be good. Just needs a little tune up and love.
    • Probably gonna remove manifold and turbo. I’m not sure if I can get M12 x 1.5 air tight. Could use high temp Loctite 246 or something similar, but I don’t know. Maybe it’s just best to remove everything again and weld an 1/8NPT on there instead.
