Hi Guys,

I am thinking about selling my Impul catback and getting something louder from USA.

This is a rare, JDM quality exhaust. It is not very loud but definitely noticeable and has that unique growl.

The exhaust is in perfect condition and has no scratches whatsoever. I am not sure how many km's has been done on it, as I got the car with the exhaust already. The car has done 32000km, I imported it myself with 5A grade.

Here is the YouTube sound clip:

It does not do much justice, you are welcome to hear it in person. I am located in Kensington at evenings and Botany during the day.

Here is the link to impul wesite:

I am offering both the muffler

and the mid pipe

See attached photos to have an idea of how it looks on the car.

Let me know if anyone is interested, because I will be ordering new exhaust soon and this should become available at the end of the August.

I'm not interested in the Impul but I can recommend the full CBE from Fast Intentions if you feel like blowing a few grand. It doesn't have the gay burnt tips and sounds awesome. You will be waiting ages for delivery though because they are made to order and the backlog is now pretty crazy.

Did you have any idea what exhaust you were looking to get from the US?

Fast Intentions was on top of my list for a long time. The waiting time for it is 3 months now. Recently I fall in love with Motordyne. It is a bit more pricey but IMO it sounds and looks better. However, I just found out that Motordyne does not fit v36 with 4WAS system due to its design. Thus if I dont find any solution to make it fit I will go ahead with FI.

Eh? I think that you will find that it doesn't fit the AWD G37's. I can't think of any reason that the 4WAS would get in the way!!

For me it was a toss up between the FI and Motordyne setups. Both seem to get good reviews. I ended up having someone show me some photo's of their Motordyne system that had quite a few flaws and bad welds though, so ended up going with FI instead. The FI system was quite a bit cheaper as well which helped the decision. I couldn't be happier with the FI system. Install was simple, they were beautifully made and sound awesome. If you don't want to wait though, then the Motordyne would be your best bet and apparently sounds fantastic as well.

If you are looking to get FI HFC's as well, let me know. Mine will be coming off in a couple of months time and I would be happy to sell them to you. They have only been on the car for a few 1000 km's and would have to end up being cheaper than having them sent from the states. I'll be selling my R2C intakes at the same time as well. I'll post up a proper for sale thread when the time comes but if you want to put name down in advance, let me know.

Tony from Motordyne confirmed that e370 is not compatible with 4was. see the picture:

And compare it with mine in the original post. 4WAS mechanism is right on the way of the exhaust. Tony also advised that somebody managed to fit it with some modifications, no details given. So if I will go ahead, I will find out how to fit it and will make a proper post about it on myg37.com

    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
