Removed The Restrictor And Got 1 Bar Boost

NO I LIE the car didnt come with a boost solenoid it came with what a plastic wee box with foam in the center and the two pipes going to the box! SOOOoo remove one of the two hose's its goes mental ( free boost ) So my question is......

CAN i get rid of the plastic box and bang a Boost T there?

That's just a filter. It does essentially nothing with respect to boost control. Just allows the boost signal to report direct to the wastegate actuator. If when you say "removed it" you mean "removed it and did not join the two hoses back together", then it's no surprise that you have uncontrolled boost. If you did join the hoses back together and it free boosted....that's very wrong and you should get someone to check your work.

Because they had a boost controller in there and either a) wanted to sell it and the car separately, or b) only wanted to run wastegate pressure instead of higher boost and so fitted the little filter because they had that on hand and didn't have a short hose joiner available.
