R33 Hicas And Non Hicas Hub Compatibility

Hey guys,

I am currently converting my r33 gts4 into a 5 stud. I have purchased most of my parts from a wrecked 33 gtst with hicas. I have read around the site and found that a lot of people say you have to use a non hicas rear hub for the conversion.

I am interested in any opinions as to why I could not just knock the hicas ball joint out of the rear gtst hubs and replace them with bushes so the original non hicas gts4 arms can support it.

That's exactly what I did when fitting a non-HICAS subframe into my R32. Knock the taper inserts out and bush away with non-HICAS bushes and toe control arms.
