I know the feeling. Expensive glasses are expensive.

Zane knows the feeling too... He paid half of mine... That's how much he loves me aaaand didn't want me driving around without them...

So much talk about brakes in the last two weeks

We are trying to differentiate between Nick and you. In the red corner: The one with brains who can stop and in the orange corner: Gat-Ton with an X.

With my current setup i dont think "Brain" and "can stop" should be used

Lol! Who are they by?

learn to buy your glasses online rather than through the rip off stores here locally, a pair of glasses is not worth $500

friend has got 7 pairs from them, and paid less than $300, if they break who cares as they are only $40 shipped for a decent pair of prescription glasses, you just scan your glasses prescription and they make the lenses to suit.

The lenses are the most expensive part of glasses I have found, mind you I have stupid multifocals...

Actually, a pair of glasses can be worth $500. When you consider the fact that they are created using proper design elements and actually shift a lot of the normal paradigms. This level of creativity and intellectual property is worth money. You pay for the fact that 2-5 years later (even less in this day and age), someone will copy it, make it out of cheaper materials and proceed to sell it at a fraction of the cost. Hiring top level designers, manufacturers and professionals generally costs a lot of money. A lot of designs aren't successful. Shipping and distribution over here isn't cheap. Labour in first world countries isn't cheap.

For major peices, I will always buy genuine - not necessarily from a retail store here though. Things are cheaper in the states or UK if you know where to look however, buying hooky products is a no go for me. I buy brand name because of quality, R&D and presence - not for poser status. If you look in my wardrobe, you can see which suits are worth dollars and which are the cheapies (of which there is only 1).

So in short, a pair of glasses can be worth $500. A watch can be worth $10k. And if we want to encourage creative minds to constantly develop new shit for our consumption, we shouldn't bicker over a few dollars.

    • I'll give it a go, it cannot hurt Although, every time I go to Bunnings for one thing, I end up with a trolley load of stuff In other stuff news, I can fit 6 x 15kg bags of Gypsum in the boot of the MX5, I could have put a few more in, but I was already pushing my comfort levels buy dropping 90kg into to boot....LOL
    • It seems to happen only when moving not stationary. It happens more frequently when reversing and turning steering wheel to the right. I MAY have found what the sound is and if it’s that I will feel so dumb since it did start happening around when I put 18” wheels. I attached the image of where there’s a scraping line to that plastic liner and the other side does not have that.
    • Is it a noise that if you turn the wheel, and hold it turned to the right, the screech continues? Or does it only occur while you're moving the steering wheel? Does it occur when stationary turning the steering wheel from centre to the right?
    • I want to also note I did lift the tire and checked for any play to see if it was a bad tie rod. It doesn't move at all.
    • Any insight will help find the issue. When I do a sharp turn to the right I hear a screeching sound coming from the front. It only happens turning Right and not Left. Steering fluid seems okay. Not sure what this part is(picture) but one side seemed "wetter" than the other. All bushing from a quick look did not seem damaged. I'll do a better look but wanted to ask here in case it helps me troubleshoot faster.
