Mugabetown - Whoretownin' At It's Worst.

Hi Mr President.

Ready for another epic week?

Damn straight. Yourself?

Got the first part of the training catch up this week. Meeting with a few boys for drinks to get a few things underway! Feeling pumped. Should be an awesome way to finish the week.

For interests sake, if I was to buy a non rego'd car from NSW, that happens to have had an engine swap along the line somewhere (engine number not updated), when I get the car to QLD and in prep for QLD rego, should I notify them of engine number change before I get the mobile roady guy out? Or? From what I remember, the mobile roady guy compared engine numbers before signing off on Cara's zed (which we bought from NSW).

Enlighten me

SKIDS!!! Morning all

Morning Nark. Was thinking this morning, since you're so anti-nissan, maybe you should get brakes from the new HSV. The bus goes past a Holden dealer and I saw the brakes and just thought, why would they need so much stopping power on something that produces SFA horsepower?

You would need to notify them before the mobile RW guy comes out.

Don't you work for TMR? :P

I thought that might be the case, however, since the car isn't on the QLD books, what would they update exactly?

Hell no I don't work for them, just in one of their buildings ;)

You raise a valid point. They would probably create a shell of the car on their systems and note it accordingly so that it's updated at time of rego - if they ran like an effective corporation.

Sure sure.... :P

I duno dude 435kw needs some stopping, also I didn't cook my brakes on Sunday. I only cook them with you guys cause it's like track day as opposed to line ups

Had this with Kathryn's car engine had be swapped tmr was not informed

Rodie guy will jut right it down and you go in and regestrring it if the ask you just say if has had a engine replacement, not swap but replacement with the exact same engine

They won't care if it's the same as the old

    • Finally have an update on this  Rack came in this week so I did a test fit. You do need the S chassis bushings since the rack is 5mm thinner than the R33 rack. The main issue I foresaw and ran into was one of the hardlines not lining up properly with there it's meant to on the rack. After some gentle coercing and bending very slightly, I managed to get it to fit without any kinks and keeping the hardline pretty much in all of the factory mounting positions. I did have to unbolt all of the soft mounts to move the line around so I could snake it out and bend it safely but it looks good to me for now. I'll update when the rack is fully bolted in and functioning.
    • I hear this thread needs an update following its adventures last Wednesday!
    • What are you thinking makes a sequential shit to drive on the street? About the ONLY thing I can think of, is if you're wanting to be able to roll up to lights in third or second and pop it straight into neutral, or you want to come down two or three gears, say out of 5th and back to second, but they shift quick enough it doesn't really matter
    • I'm not a drag racing guy, but that was a good watch. Didn't Ibrahim's car have some cooch! But the big question is....WTF is with so many of them running without seatbelts!
    • Sequential Is fine to drive on the street
