We have been pretty happy with the outlander thus far. No off roading yet tho.

Awaits 400 photos of the bogged outlander... Had an uncle try to take his on Fraser that was an interesting day lmao

Small "4wd's" are not for 4wding, most are incapable and just to Danm low

Unless you Usualy have lots of experiance with 4wding you can run into troubles

But I will say. Suzuki's they go hard off road

Anyways I have talked to ants about purchasing some parts and I have found a new direction for my car with the power side of things

This means forged bottom end :D

Interesting definition of 'real 4x4' you have :P

Low range, traction control, ladder frame chassis and same clearance as your navara. And at least it won't get stuck spinning diagonally opposite wheels in the air like yours will :P Edited by Bunta

Oh and stock it is on the low side, but nothing a cheap lift cant fix, and we are not into 'off road' where you go out and find places to get stuck and break shit, we just want a car that can do the fire trails ect.

I like where this is going :)

Morning folks.... Well events yesterday afternoon/night werent what I expected. Got a call from a mate at midday asking if I want to accompany him down to Matty @ Pits to get his car on the dyno just to check the replacement cam he got in is fine. I thought hell why not I finish work at 1:30pm it will be a good drive.

Got there at 3pm and and we got the car onto the dyno..

Matty played around with it for a while and fixed up a few things here and there. It came to about 6pm and was doing a few final power runs...

Knock Knock.......... who's there? Spun a bearing in the last 10 mins on dyno...

After many profanities were used Matty ended up dropping us at the train station and we got the train back to Sandgate then got a lift home....

Got home at about 10:30pm and then up again to start work at 5:30am...

Tired Scott is tired..

You went all the way down to see Matty Spry and didn't swing pass to say hi????

I also went to bed late paying for it now :/

Sorry to hear about your mates car Scottie.

What power did it make before she gave way?

    • Update: tested my spark plugs that are supposed to be 5ohms with a 10% deviation and one gave me a 0 ohms reading and the rest were 3.9ohm<, so one bad and the others on their way out.
    • 9" wheels are a little too wide for a RWD 32. They can fit. People have put R33 GTR wheels on 32s for years and years. But they are a very tight squeeze. This has been known for about 30 years. As I said - there is no difference between a 17 and an 18 in terms of what will fit. The rolling diameter needs to stay about the same as stock - not very much larger. If you increase that, you will start to have problems. If you increae rolling diamater at the same time as yo increase width, you will have problems earlier. as 9" wheels are pushing the boundaries already, you would need to be careful with tyre choice. I would put 8.5s on the front of mine, but would expect problems with 9s.

    • Diagnostic flow for a code 21 says check signal at the ECU pins, on a voltmeter of some kind it should read 0.1V at idle, 0.12V cranking, 0.15-0.25V at 2000 rpm. Check each coil such that +1, -3 is infinite or very high resistance, -3, +2 should do the same. (-1, +3), (+3, -2), (+1, -2), and (-1, +2) should all be somewhere between 0 ohms and high resistance. If you trace the path from the coil pin all the way back to the ECU in the diagram the resistance you measure at the coil vs connected to the harness should be pretty much the same.
    • I have an elite 2500 running an adapter harness on an rb25de neo r34. I took the butterfly out and removed all that junk. But I also went Plus+t at the same time. The butterfly thing works in reverse to the boost solenoid on the Gtt if that makes sense
