thats quite the collection Ants, very impressive!

thanks mate. but really thats nothing. I have my HP (Highland Park collection) which is amazing and I have bottles of scotch stashed in most cupboards in the house.

I will post a pic of the HP collections soon.

well its Macallan mate. She's like the Nike of single malts its very good stuff but I find the price hard to justify.

Its why in fact Macallan went down the path of introducing the fine oak range because production costs are lower using american oak barrels (bourbon) rather than sherry oak barrels, however even their 18yo was like $189 IIRC.

My thoughts are as follows:

Fine oak - cheaper than Sherry oak and is very fruity, makes your mouth water / dry and then releases beautiful flavors like vanilla, raisins and fudge

Sherry oak - very exy but my favorite but caramel galore. Could really go without that artificial coloring IMO but the tastes - at first its very spicy, but after you have drank a dram you get the following flavours, burnt cookie / creme caramel, spices like cardamin, orange peel and a hint of wooden smoke - truly amazing mate.

you can make your own recommendation but I think you know what to go for now.

Thanks mate. Definitely know now what to get now. Johnnie Red. :P

I haven't had scotch for ages, I am in my beer phase at the moment, I go on runs where i get the same thing over and over, though I am sure with winter closing in spirits might be back on the menu

same. I take my beer and jagermeister on hot days (put the jager in the freezer)

in winter I crack the whisky open ;)

I have a new favourite whiskey in the cheap range. .. and it's bourbon :0 never thought I would say that.

hmmmmmmmmmm...........yeah not a fan of bourbon eh..........but can be good mixed I guess.

I am not really into it either! But this one is nice, mixed of course! Its Blantons Bourbon, and it really shocked me.

may try one day. but first I have to finish what I already have.

Fair enough bro

If you wish to measure performane from happy laps knock yourself out! Your car is 1000 times faster at Happy Laps than mine, I think I am yet to use full throttle at one based on the fact in my view is neither the time or place.

once crank trigger and tune done and a bit of TLC to suspension the unicorn will be a weapon on track IMO

Woohoo I win :D

sweet, thanks! I plan on doing a flex set up at some point too,

Something i've thought a bit about, however in the end I realized that in 3 years I never took my car far enough that I wouldn't be in range of either caltex/united fuel at their current locations.

Assuming you could get around well enough off boost using one when tuned with the other, I could have theoretically done it all on E85, so in 6-12 months I think i'll just get E85 done on the nistune and not worry about the expensive of a flex setup.

If you have a decent ecu the only extra expense is a flex sensor and a few hours on a dyno

    • Yeah I also looked at Plazmaman, but, it ended up alot  cheaper getting black ones through EFI when you also added in the delivery cost
    • Nice shot! They look super clean. The roof rack delete on the black one is interesting. Would like to see more pictures from different angles. It's subtle but could make quite a difference to how the car looks in profile.
