$1500 bucks for all the parts:rolleyes: from what I could find that's enough to cover the box only!!!

Yeah. We've been to him 3 times now. All for different problems. One being the HICAS. Its fixed now but something else is wrong (which wasn't his fault) and we've had it serviced by him too. Can't complain about anything. Cept the Boost gauge we got put in stopped working but thats only cause the line crimped behind the face of the gauge.

He's not too expensive either.

Well I'm Gary,

Most of you will remember as Gary from the old SDU forums. I have since sold my 33 gtst.....(sob sob) and am soon expecting my new 260 RS Stagea, and boy am I looking forward to that day... I live on the Western side of Brisbane and enjoy going for "spirited" drives through the mountains... Now that the new forums are up and running I will speak to you guys more often. I guess I will see you all later at some time.

Cheers

Gary

Just an update, for anyone who cares... I finally got my dirty little hands on an R33 GTS25t over the weekend. It's sitting in Osaka at the moment, but should be in Bris on the 5th of August and in my dirty little hands about two weeks after that.

Occupation: Sysadmin (professional geek) at the same place as Squizz.

No doubt will meet some/all of you when I finally get the new car.

Hi Sciby.... you still with OCAU?

Hey Jay,

Yup, still doing the OCAU thing, but I haven't done news posts for ages. Typing all that out gets very boring after a while. I mainly write articles now, but I still administrate the forums and irc channel as well.

Was rather surprised to be recognised on here via OCAU. :(

Well the car has to be complied as standard.....(bugger)...

Mine is to get upgraded turbo's, new computer, exhaust, 18 (maybe 19) inch wheels, and dropped on it's guts. I'm also thinking of stroking the RB26 up to a 3 litre:D Then it should produce around 500 horses at all wheels. I'm also doing a bit of a body modification, but I'm keeping that secret at the moment.

What I want is, evryone to think WTF!!!

Be patient and all will see the unleashed beast.

Cheers

Gary

As much as I'd love a 34 GTR, there's just something about a super fast WAGON that I can totally dig. Imagine some wanker in his V8 Ute thinking he's king of the world, next thing this big arse wagon with huge wheels pulls up next to it and looks over. Then bang, what ute ?

I'm sure that's what you're thinking aren't you gary :uh-huh:

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
