Gutted Cat/Meter

I am assuming that the probe in the cat is to measure exhaust mixture, how will it be affected by gutting the Cat?

I am about to put on a 3' Cat back HKS on and will have an extra/spare cat.

Without jumping down my throat about the environment what are the power gains with a gutted Cat.

I have also been told that it will make the car sound "tinny".

Also do I need to replace the flanges where it bolts on? or just use the old ones.

u don't need that sensor. mines tied onto the chasis next to the cat. thats where they put it when i got the highflow cat.

I went from no cat to a high flow cat....there wasn't any difference at all.

But my on boost exhaust doesn't go through the cat anyways. :innocent:
