it's not all over Platium,

basically you won't get out of it, but you can prolong it before you lose the points.

Elect to fight the ticket, it can take up to 6 months before they set a court date. You can pay the ticket at any time before you have to get to court, but once paid the points loss will apply.

It may buy you enough time for some points to go back on your licence, it all depends on how long ago you lost your first set of points.

Long shot I know

bad luck dude

They still take the points from the date of the offence. Even if you leave it eight weeks to pay it, they will take the points from you as of the date and how many points you had.

A friend is going through this at the moment. He was on 1 point for a year and got busted speeding. He has now since obtained his opens but is still loosing his licence. He's in the process of going to court get his licence back from the offence. So even if he looses the appeal, he will still loose his licence, even though he has obtained his opens in that time frame.

I guess if the appeal is won, he'll go straight to his opens, but if the appeal is lost, he'll go on a 3 months suspension and then go onto his opens.

That's the what I was under the impression of anyway.

Well I guess i was lucky then. I had my fines still outstanding when i renewed my license at QT. The lady looked at the computer and told me that my license would probably be suspended, however she still gave me a renewal for 1 year which was was Opens. I did expect to be suspended after i paid off the fines but haven't been. That was 2 years ago and I've still got my license. I was told by a friend who was studying criminal justice or something that there is a loophole where if you paid them more than the fine they would send you a refund by cheque. As long as you didn't bank the cheque the payment wouldn't be processed and point deductions would not apply. I find this unlikely but hey...you've got nothing to lose.

This doesn't work anymore. It used to, but they have fixed the system so this doesn't happen. Too many people were using this method to escape large fines.

    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
