where to get used tyres??

Ripped the side wall from one of my rear tyres yesterday arvo....

had approx 50% tread so im looking for a 245/40/17 (used) with about the same tread to replace it. Anyone able to help out on this one??

Otherwise im looking at having one new and one old tyre, or getting two new ones well before I needed too and wasting the remaining 50% tread.

umm ever tried a tyre shop? Most sell used tyres as well as new. Also Coleman also sell used tyres.

yeah i did try several tyre shops. none of the ones i called had any of that size as most of the used ones were "standard size"

hence the reason for posting... thanks for the tip on colemans.

F1 Wheel and Tyre on the Gold Coast usually have some "performance" tyre 2nd handies...

2nd hand tyre king at slacks creek. I got 2 bridgestone potenza's 50-60% tread for $65 each, fitted & balanced. All good.

Have also been to all-round tyre (tyrepower) at albion. They have a few 2nd had ones too. Havent purchased from them tho....

got those if u r interested ... got other sizes no brand 17" ... but no 235 sorry
