Nice! Make sure you have a good read through the different topics, heaps of good information! Hahah yer true! I'm yet to go to a track, just sorting out little things with the car first. I'm 19 mate, I think my profile has that Info... I'm located in larrakeyah, which is just near the Darwin CBD.

Are you gonna drive it back up here?

Also what kind of r32? Mods? Etc

Completed the drive! All went well with no issues! Conveniently I arrived in Alice Springs the night before the open speed limits were brought in ;) Was goooooood fun!

I'm having an issue with my car now, when I run the same boost as I was running in Adelaide, it backfires and hesitates, this decreases when I turn down the boost but I want to sort this issue out!

I've narrowed it down with some brain storming to an issue where it's not getting enough fuel, hence running lean. First thing I did then was replaced the fuel filter and it seems to be running better but the issue is still there.

The guy I bought it off couldn't tell me the last time the sparks were replaced so I am yet to do that. I'm thinking maybe injectors are blocked? Won't be back in Darwin till the end of the month so have a few things that I'm ordering for it so I can have a fiddle when I get back :D

I'm Harrison btw haha, 18 and live in Bayview.

Car is a 1993 R32 GTST grey mods include:

RB25 turbo upgrade

440cc Injectors

Greddy 2 stage boost controller

Tein super street coilovers

Unknown aftermarket exhaust

Turbosmart Plumb back BOV

R32 GTR FMIC

HKS POD filter

Adj rear camber arms

Front GTR strut brace

Drifttek 17's

Full R32 GTR front end conversion

And semi slicks on the back (they don't like water haha)

Guys, can one of you tell me a good place in Darwin to get my rims powder coated? Also where do you recommend to get a quality respray done?

Hey man! Ummm i used KC Customs for my front bar respray - They super good and have good quick turn around, not sure if they powder coat but they repair gutter rash and i'm sure can help you out! Defs full respray go to KC customs - Ask for Christian Butler and tell him Harrison with the R32 bar he painted sent you. What's your name? Do you come out to TC often? Would be keen to meet with ya if I haven't already met you!

    • You Gregged a whole racetrack!?
    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
    • 310mm rotors will be avilable from Australia, Japan, and probably a few other places. Nothing for the front can be put on the back.
