Up for sale is my 1993 R33 GTST. This used to be my car I had in Tasmania, but have since moved it here and simply have no room for it. The car is currently still on Tas rego, but it will be cancelled upon the sale. Therefor it will be sold unregistered and without a RWC.

Odometer: 252,759

5 Sp manual

The Good Points:
- New carpet has been fitted within the last few weeks.
- The headlights have been restored
- The front bar has been replaced with a standard one. The reinforcement bar is complete and uncut so the FMIC is completely legal.
- Its got a Cat back exhaust system.
- Its running a boost controller and currently only set to 8psi which is close to stock.

- HKS Turbo Timer
- Has an Apexi POD filter
- Its got an aftermarket Aluminum radiator
- 600mm x 300mm Front Mounted Intercooler fitted without cutting the reinforcement bar, so its all legal.
- Lowered Springs all round.
- The turbo was replaced with a reco standard item a few years back.
- The engine is believed to have been rebuilt by a performance shop in Launceston for the previous owner. I took the car in for a service and the mechanic remembered the car. However i don't have receipts for that work.
The Odometer does show higher km's than alot of other skylines, but the engine is in great shape. The new turbo is a bonus and the engine doesn't blow smoke.

Not so good Points:
- Body has a few small dints here and there for a car of its age.
- The paint still has some great shine but has some swirl marks, so it could do with a professional cut and polish.
- Needs 4 new Tyres. 2 are legal but getting close to unroadworthy
- The rear bar has a dint
- Drivers seat is worn on the side from getting in and out of the car. Also has a few little marks and tears on the backs of the seats where the pockets are.
- Few cracks in the plastic around gear shifter boot and the drivers inside handle.

So rego runs out tommorrow. Due to being flat out at work i cant jump on the boat and dump it back there at a mates place to sell. I have the option to pay reg and keep it for another 6 months but im trying to avoid that as i dont even drive it. The battery went flat a month back and hasnt moved since 3 weeks before that.

Anyone got any ideas on how i could sell this thing asap? Ive had a few people call and they sounded like fools. Tried to offer me $2k over phone without even sighting the car. I really cant be bothered parting it out, nor do i like pulling apart a fully working car.

Anyway, im at the end of my tether with the car. If i had an offer of $5k i would hand over the keys immediately. Thinking my last resort will be a wrecker for considerably less $$.

So hit me up with an offer if your keen.

    • Hey everyone. Is there a way I can get the original window sticker (maroney label) for my 1995 R33 GTST? I doubt I’ll be able to ever get it but it’s worth a shot to ask
    • Have a vb in honour of the car comming back
    • It was a great, but typical track day, and some VB was ingested at the night time debrief 🤪
    • And so, to round this out, I couldn't be happier to confirm @MBS206 has decided to buy the car. He drove down from sunny QLD with a trailer last week and it is off to its new home today. I'll let Matt confirm on next steps but I understand broadly that the plan is to leave it pretty much as is, and just get some quality wheel time with a nicely balanced car that is pretty much track ready. There are a few a jobs still to be done first but nothing too major and I think its a very smart buy Dinner last night at the Paragon with a round of VBs (mostly) for Neil
    • Well, 50 pages and the end of a chapter for this car. We took it out for a shakedown at Wakie yesterday, and everything went well. There were a couple of niggles: - Oil cooler fitting leak - tightened, cleaned, stopped leaking - Radiator cap overflow fitting was leaking....Mark called it, the overflow fitting was threaded in and not tight....tightened, tested and held pressure - Small oil leak at the rear of the block, probably the turbo oil feed - too hot to get at it comfortably but probably just needs to be nipped up - leak at the driver's side rear brake line where it meets the hardline. Fitting wasn't loose, so Matt backed it off and back on, no further leaks - there's also a leak somewhere on the top of the fuel tank, maybe that cross over fuel line - that was has been left to fix when its on a hoist Otherwise than those niggles the car went great, turned great and stopped great so it was a very successful day out. I'm always really nervous when a car first hits the track after a long break, especially with a brand new engine as well but it was great. VID-20251011-WA0007.mp4  Big thanks to @The Bogan who dropped by and helped out, @MBS206 and my nephew Lachlan the apprentice.  Neil's wife Mel also surprised the hell out of all of us by dropping by; she's up in Tamworth these days but was travelling to Melbourne so had plausible deniability for turning up at the garage, it was great to see her but also obviously a bit sad all round.
