My buddy and I recently completed a r32 rb26dett swap into a s13 coupe chasis. The car as been running rough and just doesn't sound right ignition wise (even with brand new spark plugs and ignition coils). I know you have the 6 pin connector going to the ignition chip and a 3 pin connector with power, ground, and timing coming from the ECU. I don't remember exactly why, but we never hooked up the timing wire that goes to cyl. 1 and 6. So only power and ground make it to the ignition harness. So only power and ground are making it coils. I know the ignition chip is sending the signal to each coil to fire, but could the lack of the timing wire coming from the 3 pin connector be causing me a problem with my ignition and overall performance? Thanks for your time and i've been searching but can't find any real information on the topic. Any info would help.
