Hi Guys,

A mate and I went to install my Tomei fuel pump kit for my R33 Gtst on the weekend and came across an odd thing.

The kit came with a relief valve that is supposed to be installed in line (see attachments). The valve has a thread on it like it is supposed to screw into something, but there was nothing there.

S15's seem to have these according to the workshop manual, but nothing mentioned in the R33 one.

We came to the conclusion that maybe it was for the purpose of releasing pressure in th fuel line if it gets too high??

Anyway the relief valve is a genuine nissan item, and we installed it anyway. It all started and I drove to work today without issue, but I didnt get on boost just in case.

I have attached jpg's of the instructions for anyone who can read japanese, but my main questions are

What is the purpose for this valve?

Should it be in there? (as it seems instructions are generic)

What if I left it out?

Thanks

Adam :headspin:

*edit all 3 pics arent uploading correctly, will upload tonight at home
