Hello Everyone,

To get excited and pumped for the next big cruise I am hosting in late september, Ive decided to host a mini-cruise on Friday night, 29th august.

We will meet at casula bunnings around 8:30, and jump on the freeway at 9pm and head over to botany using the M5/M1 and the tunnels needed to get there :)

Here is the link, : https://www.google.com.au/maps/dir/-33.9583311,150.8801537/-33.9838379,151.2127246/@-33.9478239,150.9040276,4017m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m9!4m8!1m5!3m4!1m2!1d150.9057971!2d-33.9491761!3s0x6b1294e220dbde75:0x13017d67e7b123b0!1m0!3e0?hl=en

hope that works,

This is just a quick slap together friday night cruise to meet up and have a chat, snap a few pictures and then head home.

Open for suggestions to start earlier/later, but for now leave it as it is. :)

Should only take around 30-45 minutes depending on roadworks, but of a friday night hopefully we will be against most of the traffic.

Feel free to PM/ask any questions,

Hope to see a lot of you there, and start getting excited for september :)

Sounds fun. Hopefully I'm working day shift and I can come along. I'll keep you updated :)

Sounds good brenno, be a nice friday night get together. I only thought of it the other day, and i wanna pump up this september cruise. Pray for a sunny spring.

I am in for this, well at least part of it; I am away for work earlier that week, so won't really have the 'credits' to have a full night out!

Also count me in for September, as long as it isn't the 14th (my son's birthday).

what time do you reckon you'd get to botany? because it's like i would be going to casula then back to botany haha (I'm like 20 mins from botany). Just so i could sit on a road you guys would go past then just jump on the back of the cruise :)

Depending on the road work inbetween the hume hwy ( liverpool onramp ) and the M5 tunnel.

I really dont expect this cruise to go for anything more than 30-45 minutes. Its more the places we are meeting up/driving too that would take the longest with the hangout session :)

And Aiken, its definitly after the 14th :).

I am pming Terry the details tonight, and hooking up a pre-cruise scout. I will definitly have all the details on this friday night cruise though :)

If you have any friends not on SAU with skylines let them know. Im pretty biast when it come's to what forums/webpages i post cruises on, but only because of the quality people that exist on SAU :)

Any questions feel free to keep firing guys.

Righto,

I hate to say it, but we need a plan b. this rain doesnt look like its going anywhere, and im sure none of us will be too impressed standing in the rain at botany.

An underground carpark is what im thinking at the moment.

Any suggestions?

Otherwise we might have to post-pone

Obviously we dont have to go to botany, we can get off at rockdale and head back into sutherland.

Open to ideas.

Wow.

My post early today didnt come through on the phone, amazing.

Plan b is we will turn off at the princes freeway and head to miranda fair, where they have a carpark that offers 90 minutes free and is open until 12am.

All sorted gents, we will all decide on friday night.

    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
    • It's been quite the ordeal but hey, at least you figured it out.
    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
