I bought a set of Ganador aero mirrors recently from a guy here on SAU, but they did not come with the wiring loom.

Has anyone wired up the Ganadors to the factory wiring without a loom at all? If so, what wire goes with what?

I've attached photos of the wiring. They are labelled mirror wiring and factory wiring.

Mirror wiring in the pic from top to bottom is: black, blue, black and brown. Factory wiring in the pic is from L to R: orange, red, green, blue and purple.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Adam

The only thing i can help you with when i looked at the circuit is i matched the jap symbols on the joystick picture and then on the right.

You really need the colours but at least you will know what each pin does on your loom

Had a crack at the driver's side mirror just now.

Purple from the factory wiring is the ground, blue does up/down, and green does L/R.

On the mirror, brown is pin connector 1, this does up/down.

Black and blue are pin connectors 2 & 3, ground.

The top black is pin connector 4, this does L/R.

I bough these connectors from Jaycar to connect to the mirrors:

It was just a simple matter of crimping the wires up.

There will be two wires from the factory loom that go unused, they control the mirror folding.

I fluked it first time, which is good as I killed a couple of 10A fuses Friday when I had a crack at it.

The only sad part so far is i buggered up trying to remove the bolt that was stuck.post-51740-14233549720414_thumb.jpg

I still can't get it out, it seems to have fused in place. But then, that's what zip ties are for right?

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
