LSD options for R34 GTR

Something is up with th rear LSD on my R34 (one wheel just lights up on launches had a look at it today on a hoist and looks like the diff has been removed before) and I am thinking of getting a 1.5 mechanical lsd to go in, what I want to know is do I need to replace the front diff or can I leave it

Also if anyone has any recomendations as to brands/dealers Iw ould be interested to hear them
