Thanks for the help dude, you know your shit. :91_thumbsup:
The blue hose has kinked, it's not the correct hose, previous owner must've just slapped it on there.
I'll check out those websites and make a few calls on Monday.

How did you go with finding the s/s wound 5/8" hose today? I wouldn't mind seeing if I could get the original cam breather hose from Nissan also depending on price?

I didn't, I worked all day, won't have a chance to look into it until wednesday

but got 6 bottles of bourbon emoji4.png

Ahh, bourbon/whisky, best cure for any cold or flu, till the alarm goes off at 5:30am the next day. Putting a lemon in the neck of the beer should help out alot also.

yes i agree.

im considering putting honey in a bourbon/coke :)

After 3 months of squealing and telling myself they will bed in. I finally got off my cake hole and chamfered the new front pads. Only the p/s was squealing but I did both to be sure. I took it real easy on them to bed them in and aren't sure why the p/s did and the d/s didn't? Dba slotted rotors and bendix advance pads. Any ideas?

what process did you follow?

i have Q1RM pads. they said to do 2 runs from 60-0 as fast as possible. then 2 runs from 100-0 as fast as possible. i had just skimmed rotors too. never had any noise from them

Ill check out what we have at work tomorrow and see if we have anything like it and let you know. I went with the clear s/s wound so it wouldn't collapse and could see if it was leaving any oil residue or staining inside the tube after the s/s wool packed catch can. Before the air intake to the turbo. I've pushed the car pretty hard on occasions and have had no blow by. Yeay. My catch can is a fully poxy drift one. (from autobahn)
I bought it the day I picked up the car to get rid of the evian bottle and garden hose to avoid a yellow. So for the mean time I put another 5/8" fitting reversed inside the can and ran it to half way in the tank and and cut the internal s/s hose at 45* so it would filter fumes and still had room to dump oil. Will fab up a new one and plumb it in properly from Ali when I have the time. (NEVER) :-(

I work:
Monday: 8:45am - 6:00pm
Tuesday: 7:45am - 5:00pm
Thursday: 1:00am - 9:00pm
Saturday: 8:45am - 5:00pm
Sunday: 11:00am - 5:00pm

That doesn't include mandatory morning meetings, and customers not getting the f**k out on time.
My roster very rarely changes, but just in case always double check.

Put the whole lot in new then braked reasonably hard 80-20, 100-20. Only p/s squeal. I mainly chamfered the lead and trailing edge at about 30* with a fine cross cut metal file and just took the edges off very minimally. All good now. Just hate doing a job twice. F##* might not have stood on it hard enough.

Did u check if it was a 5/8" or 16mm fitting? Just put a rule on it like the pic I posted and check the pipe o/d (outside diameter) not the swage diameter. Let me know. I would assume it is but always check.

I was worried about the abs juddering on the new rotors and pads if I hit it too hard so was just a guess.

Try nissan. I've replaced with genuine before and don't remember getting raped

It might pay to put a tiny bit of permatex on the corners and rear. Especially if its leaked bad off the rear exhaust cam side before. This will cop a lot of heat because it is near the manifold, turbo and dump pipe. Just a thought. Check there is no gouges or issues around where the leak was and it seats and Seals nicely. Pay attention to the fit up and get everything hard finger tight first then cross torque the cam cover like you would a head gasket. Clean all of the sealing faces up tidy as with a turps rag and make sure there is no gritty bits hanging around or shit from the rag. Use a soft brush to clean up the inside of the cam covers if it's gritty. Set aside a load of time and don't rush it! Don't know how much mechanical experience you have so just general advice. Nothing worse than dumping the gas pedal to a oily smell. Will be awesomeness once you have finished!

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
