Dr_Drift
As per Cam's solution this will work if that seems to be the problem. I already had the fuel pumb earthed when I got the incosistent idle and stalling. Solution 2: Reset your TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) 1: Locate your TPS and make sure it is easy to disconnect the loom plug. 2: With you bonnet up un car, start your engine 3: Rev engine to 3000 rpm then return to idle 4: Repeat step 3 two more times 5: With engine still running disconnect your TPS (BEWARE FAN BLADES) 6: Reconnect TPS and your problem should be solved. If your car stalls at step 5, try whole process again, if it stalls again you have a faulty TPS, replace and all should be good. This made a huge differenct to general running my S13 (SR20DET) and solved my low or inconsistent idle and stalling problems. I do not know if this will work on skylines, but what have you got to loose it's FREE Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/457-low-rpm-stalling-possible-solution-number-2/ Share on other sites
BOOSTMEISTER
D-Masta Good work man, as I mentioned there seems to be numerous reasons for our cars to do this so your option could, as mine be a very cost efective way of solving the problem. Buttoned_Down_Psycho
reguarding step No.5 - you disconnect the TPS on idle? - this would generate an error on the computer right? - so if you reset the computer afterwards does it erase the TPS setting youve just set? Dr_Drift
Regarding disconnection of TPS at idle, I never actually had to reset my computer. I did have the same problem twice a couple of months apart, I think this was due to accelerator cable stretching. If the problem re-occurs just try it again.... After all what have you got to loose (apart from your pinky on the fan blade ( Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/457-low-rpm-stalling-possible-solution-number-2/#findComment-12347 Share on other sites

Dr_Drift
The TPS is your throttle position sensor, if you look under your bonnet and find your accelerator cable. This cable should turn the shaft in your throttle body, at the other end of this shaft is the TPS. Sorry no pics but hope this helps?
