My NM35 2002 model windscreen received a windscreen chip an hour ago and the drive time home of 15 minutes has resulted in a crack extending out both sides of 20 cm each and I imagine it will get bigger. Not quite in field of view yet.

1 At what point does this event become claimable?

2 I s the radio aerial built in to the front windscreen?

3 Will the new replacement windscreen automatically have a built in aerial in or must this be requested

4 I Have insurance from Shannon’s but since its 330am can someone confirm that I should be covered for a free windscreen replacement and not affect my policy.

5 Will this have to be ordered from Japan i.e. aerial is included?

Thanks in advance

M35 windscreen is the same as the V35 and these are easily available in AUS though O'Briens who Shannons use to do their work... What they do not have is the proper Nissan mouldings. When O'Briens changed mine, they did not want to use the generic mouldings as they looked rubbish, and were able to get the proper ones ordered from Japan thru Nissan Ferntree Gully, from my Japanese VIN number.

5 weeks later, all done..

Pages 20-21 "We will not pay for: chips and fractures that do not affect the integrity of the glass" a bit of a grey area open to opinion.

I'd recommend not saying the word "Stagea". When my windscreen was done with the roadworthy they sent a C34 windscreen even though I told them "M35 same as V35 Skyline"

Cost me $250 fitted.

It's claimable once the crack is in the "viewing" area of the windscreen.

You get one freebie a year with Shannon's.

Definitely use a genuine moulding, and see if they'll pay for OEM windscreen as well, some of the cheaper screens don't have the tint strip, or the blackout for the mirror mount.

If the copper tracks your referring are the ones across the bottom of the screen and up each side that is a Windscreen de-ice system or frost heater if you will run from the switch on the left in the cluster in front of your right knee depending on the year. Mine is a 2002 Axis but the Wife's 2003 does not have this feature, The Radio antennae is a diversity type on the rear Right and Left window in the Cargo area as has been said.

Its bot year dependant, it us spec dependant. The de ice part of of the windscreen was included in cars fitted with the snow pack.

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
