Trying to find my RB26 compression ratio but Im not sure how to calculate combustion chamber volume for a head that has been shaved .010".

CP 86.5mm - 8.5:1 (16.2 cc dome volume)

1.2mm 88mm Nitto Headgasket

.010" off the head

Stock crank with Nitto H Rods

Thank you for the help.

You can actually calculate it if the only change is the facing. At least close enough to get a good idea. The volume that has been removed is the cross sectional area of the chamber times the 0.01". If the chamber is circular, or at least very close to circular, it is quite easy.

But otherwise, as Ben said, you need a burette.
