hi all! just wanted to say hello again, I joined SAU 6 years ago but since then alot has happened and

I sold my Skyline R32, which I regretted.

Now i'm back with my fresh new import!

I've been wanting to get another R32 for a while, and found this 1993 GTS-T with genuine 67km on the clock!

It seems like it had a few minor mods like Greddy Strut brace, ARC super induction box, Sickspeed oil reservoir (still dont know what it does)

and aftermarket intercooler.

Look forward to making it a daily driver, not after ridiculous power, and want to leave the engine alone as much as possible.

I like a quick spooler.

planning on a Nistune + Z32 AFM upgrade with a HKS 2530 if I can find one..... but seems non existent these days,

If anyone has any sggestions, please let me know

get an alarm system, dash mat, and use a sun reflecta on your windscreen when parked up outside

you have a good dash pad so may as well keep it good, mine has just started to bubble in the vinyl and I'm pissed orf about it.

I dont think I will, its not like i'll boost unnecessarily in town,

I think turbo timers are rarely needed for a daily driver to be honest

Anyone have tints on their car?

I heard its pretty good for uv protection and heat minimization as well..?

I've read up on some articles and most will probably agree the rb engines don't have the greatest design when it comes to the reliability of cas.

What would be the most cost effective way of reducing this problem?

Would it be worth installing a trigger wheel of some sort?

The car starts fine when cold,

But when it's been driven for a while it seems to take longer to start thereafter, so hadouken suggested a possible cas issue.

I just wanna see if there are any options before I go out and buy a new cas that costs around $500 just to see it have problems in a year or two

Go post in the NZ forums and see if there is anyone near you how has an rb20 in good working order and is prepared to help you fault find. Then you can start swapping bits over in a process of elimination.

there's a fellow in the forced induction forum that sell his own design triggers, he's one option, but first have you to make sure that the cas is the fault.

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
