Yes I did I have many freinds at nissan Japan, most are at Nismo Amori factory.

I speak Japanese enough, I worked at Nissan in Japan in 1990 on the GTR program.

I am at this time negotiating to do 18mths in Japan on the 35GTR racing program.

give me your chassis no and model number and I'll find the truth for you. IF YOUR NOT AFFRAID OF THE TRUTH. I can also find how many owners its had and where it was sold and where it lived in japan , also 80% of Skyline imports are purchased from the "accident repair section" of the auctions.

in the end I guess  as long as your happy with it then thats what counts.

G'day Steve,

Good to see your popping in to see us again - it's been a while.

I might take you up on this offer - as scarey as it is :D but it would be good to know.

Jayson

Hi Jayson

Its been a while, it is a hetic time for everyone, I'll be at bathurst for the 24hr, running a EVO lancer team , sorry no GTR!!!!, I think next year will see a 3 car GTR team if this year goes good with TV coverage.

been talking a lot with sponsors and its looking good next year.

I want a lot of support from Skylines Australia members if it comes off and it looks good from the sponsors. somone needs to blow the lambo off on the big tracks and he 34GTR is the car to do it.

will keep you informed as it goes.

regards

Steve

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
