Phone mount options for V35

I was wondering what options people are using for mounting their mobile phones in the V35 couple? I have been using an Iottie easy one touch 4 Dash and Windshield Mount but in summer I can't use it as my phone gets too hot. 

The mount uses a ball and socket mount with a quick release and fast wireless charging. Ideally I would like to possibly keep it and maybe mount a ball so that I can mount the unit to it. 

As there seems to be limited options where to mount something I was thinking of putting it low down by the ashtray or possibly modifying that space to incorporate it. I can't seem to remove the ashtray easily. Can someone advise me? I haven't had much time to have a good look. 

Any other options or suggestions would be appreciated. Is there anywhere in Adelaide that may be good with this sort of stuff?
