So what would be the cause of a CAS not firing the coil packs or injectors? I've been throwing parts at the ignition system rather foolishly staring with ignitor, harness, now a second CAS. The car cranks but won't start after I installed new turbos. I made all new grounds from 12 gauge wire because everything on that side was pretty ugly. The fuel pump is priming the ECU relay is kicking on the ignition relay next to the ecu is clicking on and as far as I can tell with a test prob all the pins in the ECU are lit as they should be. This has been several months now and I've really searched every platform and I can't find any solid answers to this problem. I would be honored if one of you rb gods could enlighten me as to what could be the issue. With the ignition on and the CAS out when I spin it there's no response from the coils. Please help next stop is an automotive electrician.

Ia your CAS wired in backwards? Between different series of looms the pins are all reversed.
E.g. R33 GTR is 1 2 3 4 and R34 GTR is 4 3 2 1.

Well the original CAS that was stock was the Mitsubishi unit the silver one and it wasn't working I got another silver Mitsubishi one from a friend and tried it and same no response he also told me it was fine when he pulled it but I am unsure if it was from an r32 gtr. All I know is that it came off of an RB26. I thought the silver Mitsubishi ones were all from early r32s? I also have completely stock wiring and I think I may have been the first person to ever completely remove the CAS. I'll try and revese the pins tomoro on the new one thanks for the advice !!!!1541120708198
Fuel injector fuse? Have you checked the coils have power on them?
The fuel pump is definatly kicking on because I totally rewired it with a new pump, relay and external fuse even got the gauge to read correctly. Here's the thing about the coils when I put on a test probe in the harness it gets a signal from the ignitor but does not fire the coils which I eventually relized was the CAS job to tell them when to fire but like I said I've put 2 different CAS both Mitsubishi units and while spinning it with the ignition on the CAS is not firing the coils or injectors for that matter. And also the car won't start with starter fluid and when you pull a coil and spark plug out after cranking there is no fuel smell from the bore. Another reason I think it has something to do with the CAS. I'm tempted to pull the whole harness from the CAS and trace it back to the ECU but still am trying to find a simpler solution. Thanks for the feedback guys really miss my skyline and riding season is over so I'll be even more depressed without my boost fix. Any info goes deeply appreciated.

I figured it out CAS power wire has a short between it and the ECU. Running now seems to have a boost leak after heating up but that's what I get for reusing gaskets and 1 exhaust stud stripped out. At least I won't have to pull the turbos again. Time to do it right!

    • Hi guys . Can someone help me  I bought an Android screen for my Nissan fuga but it won't turn on
    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
