I've just put a rb25det neo into my r34. Motor was imported from japan. It is a factory manual n/a shell. I have a z32 afm, front mount intercooler, gcg hi flow turbo. ECU is a PowerFC. Still running factory injectors and the standard fuel pump. I have a walbro 460 and bosch 1000cc injectors ready to go, putting this in before my tune then getting the car towed to my tuner.

Now to my issue, I try to start the car and it runs for about a second then stalls straight away. If I continue to hold the key to keep it cranking it will run until I back it off then it stalls.

So far I have tried swapping the fuel lines that join from filter to rail and regulator etc. I swap them and then car just cranks and doesnt fire so assuming I have lined around the right way. I put in a fresh 10L of fuel to rule out not having enough fuel. Also keeping in mind that the car ran fine with its n/a motor barely a week ago so doubt fuel pump is toast. Still can hear fuel pump priming before starting. Got a spare CAS and spun it out of the car while key was in ON position to check for injector pulse and all seems fine.

My tuner has said he'll obviously fix it but at $200p.h I'd prefer to get it running well before I drop it off.

Any help would be appreciated.

    • thanks for the advice on the box... i was thinking the 6 speed was better for cruising on the highway but on closer inspection and comparison the Rb 5 speed box was not too different...  So the choice is going to be the RB25 box... if I can save up and find one at the right price
    • Thanks Matt, yes that's what i am aiming for. Just going to apply the right voltage and grounds to the dash connector. Hence my search for these pins... any chance you know if these pins are in the same spot as the ones on the S15 Dash connector? as mentioned above on page 8?
    • Yes, unfortunately that's the one. Signal was noisy to begin with; after driving once and looking back at the logs I saw pressure constantly swinging between 0-200psi, or staying at 0 randomly for a few seconds. There's a lot of good sensors that share the same look and feel, so don't presume they're all bad. I bought mine for 20$ off Amazon and I should have read the reviews prior, as it's clear they're junk.  I purchased a lowdollerr motorsports sensor.
