Snootigers
I warm the engine up and it sits around 800 RPM. When I put my foot on the accelerator and the RPM's sit at lets say 2000 I can hear these little backfires from the exhaust. I've tested the engine pulling in 3rd and 4th gear from 3000RPM's and its fine so it's definitely not a misfire. The car has done 86,000kms and has been driven around 6,000kms since 2013. The engine is completely stock, except for the muffler. What could this be? Thanks! GTSBoy
So, you say it only does it when you hold it in neutral at 2000rpm? So, don't do that. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/482152-r34-gt-t-little-backfires/#findComment-7949201 Share on other sites
Snootigers
Yes, it only does it when I hold it in neutral, no matter the RPM's. I held it at 2300, 1500, 1800. I don't usually do it however I did notice and started to investigate! I'm taking it to a mechanic in the next couple of weeks so I'll ask him to have a look and see what he says! GTSBoy
I think my point is that - it's not a problem, so why worry about it? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/482152-r34-gt-t-little-backfires/#findComment-7949211 Share on other sites
