Hi guys

The dash and some interior trim pieces is starting to give away in our V36 2008 370GT coupe. Is it still possible to order spare parts specially for the dash? If so, what's the best way to order the OEM parts in?

Otherwise I was thinking of getting a dash mat or custom ordering one: https://www.fitmycar.com/au/nissan-skyline-sedan-v36-2006-2014-dash-mat-shevron/5041

Cheers

yes, that would be the correct part, but you would be looking at A$1k plus freight for one.

I had the same thing happen on my 05 V35 sedan a few years back.  I ended up finding one at a wrecker at the other end of the state and ordered it after they said it was in 'excellent condition'... It turned up with more cracks than mine had, so I had it re-covered by an auto upholster who really did a sub-par job, but at least it isn't cracked now..

Hi there

About 2 years ago I was searching for a new dash pad for my 2008 370GT ( old dash was sticky and falling apart) In Australia and Japan, either not available or over $2000 from Japan.

I did find that a new part number had been listed.

I gave the new part number to my local Nissan dealer, at South Tweed NSW.

BINGO !  5 genuine Nissan dash pads held at Nissan Vic.

One week later I picked  up the new dash from my local Nissan dealer. $1280 including freight.

I think the new part number was the same as the previous one, but finished with C

I hope this helps.

@gillies2001 Is your vehicle the base model (non S/P variants)? Same as mine in that case. Would it be possible to share / PM the part number you had ordered and invoice (if still accessible)? I will then take that info to my local Nissan dealer to see if the same OEM dash pad can still be sourced locally.

Was it much hassle / costly to get it fitted?

Cheers

    • Working through possible solutions of converting my mechanical speedo.    Anyone know what type of speedo sensor the factory r34 gtr getrag has ? what the output is ? I assume its not a VSS and more a voltage like earlier speedo sensors ? Can an ECU read it ?

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
