Morning peoples,

I was washing my car at Weston Carlovers at about 2pm (saw the guy who drives the yellow R34 with NISSAN plates)

While I was washing my car a Ford Escape (blueish/purple) pulled up behind me and start constantly honking their horn while I was in the middle of washing my car. They had done this about 10 times in 5 minutes, when I ws about to leave they did it again. I snapped and had enough of this crap, I was their with my mum and my sister, who also were quite pissed with what these 2 guys were doing.

I got out and confronted one of the guys who was just about to put money in the car to start washing the car, he was a dick*ead, running his mouth off.

It turned into a very heated exchange where the guy was thearting to headbutt me, so that was that, I got on my phone and called one of my friends who frequents the weston skate park, I told him the situation and he can up with 10 of his skater mates.

Only problem by time they arrived the 2 guys had finished washing their car and had left. Pitty pitty I really really wanted to hurt them because they were so arrogant.

My main concern is that this is the start of road rage where people are being inconsiderate towards other, I had done nothing to this person) they arrived about 3 minutes after me) nor had I ever seen them before, they were just being prats.

Unfortunately, they are going to walk away from this laughing just as they did at the car wash. I think the only way these sort of people will ever learn is to have their heads beaten in, but that is just me.

I didn't get any plates.

I just had to rant about it to someone, somewhere..

Just FYI i know this site does not condone fighting/violence ect ect.

Hahaha, if someone was honking their horn at me while I was washing the car, I'd give the car a really good slow wash. I'd even wash it two or three times just for the hell of it.

Might even go to the change machine and make it look like it took my money and spend 10 minutes talking to the fella there to so it looks like I'm trying to get the money out of it..

I wouldn't have bothered about talking to the fools, just make them wait longer :)

...Interesting comment about rage rage seeing as YOUR the one that started the verbal abuse, and YOUR the one that called up your mates to physically harm the horn blowers, thus you would be the one with the charge not the horn blowers.

And your comment about 'not getting plates'? Who cares, they pressed their horn, on private property. whoopy doo, I wouldnt call it road rage, id call it stupidity. If anyone is the 'road rage[r]' its you.

i disagree, and i dont think its really road rage anyway, it had nothing to do with your cars at all, the dudes were just being c*cks, ur driving didnt cause him to get angry, sure he used his car to sound his horn but road rage isnt the case here, not that it matters im kinda splitting hairs.

but im with Jay, just take ur time and just give him the odd deathstare and really slow down, that'd piss me off.

That's true and I can see how it comes across, in my defence I wasn't the one who threatened to get physical. I went up to him and asked their problem was and why they were honking the horn all the time. Then he said do you want me to punch you in the head, i'll headbutt you mate, things like that.

The reason I call ed my friend , not that I need ot justify it to anyone.....2 v 1 = bad odds for me 12 v 2 is much more persuasive. The main aim I had was to ridicule them and taunt them and get them to apoligise infront of everyone that would have been enough for me.

Not having got that I would love to know what their plates were and find their car or house anything they own and damage it. Revenge is the best medicine.

I don't go around looking for trouble and I don't go around damaging other people property. Infact I keep to myself because I know if you confront it, then trouble is nearly the only outcome. They deserved it and didn't get it. It's in the past and i'll move on.....

man you gotta grow up a bit. The whole 'i got more mates than you, so shut up' is crap. Who does he need to apologise to? you? Who did you need to prove your manhood to? Your mum sitting in the car, im sure she wouldve been just as proud if you got into your car, shook your head at their stupidity and drove off. But no, you potentially couldve harmed them because you felt you lost face at the car wash.

People like the ones hooting at you do it for the attention, and you gave them that. Drive off next time, and who do they have to shit stir now? no one. Who wins? you.

I wash my car at Weston Carlovers all the time, never had any trouble with idiots there, except once when someone was pulling out (VN Commodore, big surprise), stopped at the exit & started to smoke his tyres big time. This was around 1pm on a Saturday, the place was packed with peopled washing their cars. He prolly sat there for 30 or 40 seconds smoking it up, and then crawled off.

I'll keep an eye out for that escape though, seems like a geuine gimp to me

Such a big man... Calling up 11 mates to come and fight 2 guys... Did you feel big and strong after making that call? I bet your pen1s grew about 4 inches after doing that.

You claim that 2v1 wasn't a fair fight, so you tried to make it 2vs12... HOW THE HELL IS THAT FAIR??? :uhh: :uhh: :uhh:

I hate it when people can't fight their own fights and have to call their cousins, friends and relatives to come fight their fights for them. It's quite honestly pathetic.

Your story was looking good until you lowered yourself to the gutter with that phone call. :)

This is a mature way to look things.

I respect your point of view. I haven't had the best weekend, on firday (start of the weekend just gone) I found 2 boot prints on my bonnet, I can tell you I wasn't very happy, luckily it didn't dent the bonnet, looks like someone was bonnet surfing (running/hopping across several bonnets)

It is very fustrating that nobody seems to respect other people or their property. I didn't need ot prove my manhood as you put it, as I had said i confronted them to find out why they were being rude and hoonking the horn, the other guy was the one who narcked up threatened to be violent.

Im there heaps too, surprised weve never bumped into each other

Ive never had an trouble from anyone there, had a few people say g'day n have a chat, and a couple of stares from people behind me cos i take too long :headspin:

I agree with most people here...

get over it, best thing would of been to take your time, and show them that you aint really botherd about there stupidity... And there not seeking any attention...

getting there number plate to damege there house or car!!!!

There are alot of posts and replies in these forums about people damaging our cars....

Why would you wanna be one of these people that damage the cars...??!!!

Just because of some dickheads, your putting yourself i the shit!

Just get back in the car, shake your head and drive off.... Thats the best advice given here!

12v2 Pretty ****ed if you ask me!

Fight your own fights... if you cant... WALK AWAY!!!

I agree that the people may not have been very nice. Sure, they should not have honked. But i bet that you were not very nice when you approached them either. I would have simply just never approached them. Like it has been said above, are you trying to prove that you're tough to your mum? i hope your mum told you off after you did that, or else, the saying would be like father(mother) like son.

I'd say that it's your fault for aggrevating the situation. You are also a *****. "Oh, i can't fight two people. Lets be a pansy and get 10 people." If anyone has a short temper, it's you. "Oh, someone beeped me, i'm gonna call in my gang and bash them". Furthermore, "since i didn't get to bash them, i wanted to get there number plate. Lets go find there house and smash it and burn there car". Ok, you might have had a bad day, that's granted. Can you go kill someone because you had a bad day?

Stop trying to justify yourself. YOU'RE WRONG. Learn from your mistake, and you'll become a better person. Patience is a virtue.

    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
    • Place the new daughterboard in the case and mount it using the 3 small black rivets provided, and reconnect the 3 factory ribbon cables to the new board Then, use the 3 piggyback cables from the daughterboard into the factory board on top (there are stand offs in the case to keep them apart. and remember to reconnect the antenna and rear cover fan wires. 1 screw to hold the motherboard in place. Before closing the case, make a hole in the sticker covering a hole in the case and run the cable for the android unit into the plug there. The video forgot this step, so did I, so will you probably. Then redo the 4 screws on back, 2 each top and bottom, 3 each side and put the 2 brackets back on.....all ready to go and not that tricky really.
    • Onto the android unit. You need to remove the top screen because there is a daughterboard to put inside the case. Each side vent pops out from clips; start at the bottom and carefully remove upwards (use a trim remover tool to avoid breaking anything). Then the lower screen and controls come out, 4 screws, a couple of clips (including 3 flimsy ones at the top) and 3 plugs on the rear. Then the upper screen, 4 screws and a bunch of plugs and she is out. From there, remove the mounting brackets (2 screws each), 4 screws on the rear, 2 screws top and bottom and 3 screws holding in the small plates on each side. When you remove the back cover (tight fit), watch out for the power cable for the fan, I removed it so I could put the back aside. The mainboard is held in by 1 screw in the middle, 1 aerial at the top and 3 ribbon cables. If you've ever done any laptop stuff the ribbon cables are OK to work with, just pop up the retainer and they slide out. If you are not familiar just grab a 12 year old from an iphone factory, they will know how it works The case should now look like this:
    • Switching the console was tricky. First there were 6 screws to remove, and also the little adapter loom and its screws had to come out. Also don't forget to remove the 2 screws holding the central locking receiver. Then there are 4 clips on either side....these were very tight in this case and needed careful persuading with a long flat screw driver....some force required but not enough to break them...this was probably the fiddliest part of the whole job. In my case I needed both the wiring loom and the central locking receiver module to swap across to the new one. That was it for the console, so "assembly is the reverse of disassembly"
