nice one mate, i've got 215/40/17"  and 235/45/17" at the rear just for that drag look. might have to get the guards rolled before i get it resprayed, has anyone used the adj chamber tops from the s-13 at all?

Yerp mine's usin S13 strut top's at the front, i've got the option to use them at the back as well, have to redrill the bolt holes though, i beleive that Josh may have done this???

Yeah i've got 235/45/17's to go on the back as well, when i pull my finger out and get them fitted!! I'll go take some more happy snaps of the bucket in a minute and post them up when done!

r31 import struts are rare as rocking horse shit and cost an arm and a leg.. ask the bluebird boys!

my hr31 struts costed me $250 including the struts, hubs, calipers, rotors etc... not too expensive at the right place at the right time

Guys,

Have a question about this, am looking at using some s-13 coilovers on my HR30 to start off with, and brake upgrade further down the track.

What are people using for rear suspension setup? Can s-13 coilovers be used with redrilled strut tops? Or do you have to use aftermarket strut and lowered spring setup?

What size rims are you running now?

Cheers.

To solve the s13 strut top reverse problem, slightly slot the top bolt inwards where the strut bolts to the hub, make a big difference.

You cannot use factory s13 struts, or GAB shock and spring replacement, the spring seat wont fit in the wheel arch.

S13 rears need a strut top change or redrill to fit up, but do a good job and worked well as camber correction for me.

You'll most likely need bolt on spacers for the wheels to clear the calipers.

Its a pretty simple conversion, and a bit of and easier way out of a brake upgrade because you get the suspension all done at once :D

the front disks will not fit as the hub for the r30 fronts is a part of the disk itself..then theres the whole reason for puting the hubs on, the mounting holes for the callipars are different to the r30 whish will then allow you to mount the r32/33 callipars...wheels i'll be running P1 racing 17" with a 35 offset looks like i'll need spacers though....

post some fotos up when you get the wheels on :D

    • There is no difference between a 17x8 and an 18x8. The total diameter of the tyre needs to remain +/- the same (so you don't mess up the gearing, speedo reading, and clearance when turning front wheels..... so you just need to use a lower profile tyre on th 18 than you do on the 17. /rocket surgery.
    • I thought the same to start with. But then I thought it was one of those LCAs where the end of the ARB goes through a bushing in the LCA itself, instead of having an end link.
    • Yeah - I mean, go the other way. Smaller range. Not larger.
    • To re-cap, I bought: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Lsailt-8G-Infiniti-Q50-Q60-2014_1601171829627.html?spm=a2756.trade-list-buyer.0.0.2cd476e9FTIlKE As you can see, if I bought 20 it was $653, but I bought 1 so it was $1,170. I was very tempted to buy 2 and resell 1 at 25% cheaper. @MBS206, I am not sure if they do a Kluger one, here is their list but it might be there under a global model name: http://www.lsailt.com/product/android-interface?page=1 Keep in mind these full android replacements have basically all the bits a phone does (cpu, ram, storage, wifi, bluetooth, usb interfaces) other than a screen (it uses a host), thus the $800+ cost. Android Auto screen mirroring is MUCH cheaper as it's just a cut down shell, input mirroring and output mirroring BTW I also need that "screen off" feature, it is much harder to see wildlife even if a dash is reasonably dark. Both the Fuga and V37 have display off buttons for night use, they just come back on for a second or 3 if you interact with it, eg skip a song.
    • I use FCC car launcher. It has an option for different backgrounds, so instead of turning the screen off you can swipe 'up' to a black screen with no background/icons. (mine has the time on it only). It's kinda nice. Also lets you use gestures to say swipe to go to next song, etc.
