Hi all,

Just want to know definatly about changing seats in a r32 gtst.

I was told the other day that ANY japanese car seat will fit into my r32..

I know it would fit If I paid heaps for new rails etc, but would say 200sx/wrx seats fit rails and just be a straight swap????

Any experience? Advice? cause I do want to change seats but not send a fortune.

Thanks

No rails are a straight swap.

You will have to buy some bride or other seats rails specific for the skyline as the stock rails wont work on after market seats, as i tried on my r33 which has the same floor plan under the seat area.

Check my sig for the group buy on r31-r33 rails, which has gone abit stale since i have to find a new company to make em and i havent got back positive numbers on how many want em

Any seats can be made to fit, just as long as they are not too wide or tall for your car. You just need to find someone handy who can modify the rails on the seats you buy, or adapt the rails from your existing seats to suit!

Its not bodging up the rails INASNT, its modifying them - (it also helps if your old man in a boiler maker by trade!) :D Its also a matter whether this is legal or not. But any seats that are changed for the standard ones need engineering anyhow.

I'm not trying to take business away from you, far from it. Just passing general comment on past experiences.

going from nissan to nissan seats in an import isn't that difficult.. its just where you are going from a different manufacturer or "generic" seats.. etc. As each car has different bolt locations, sometimes heights, angles, etc..

Its not something you want to "dodge" with welding and stuff, if you have an accident you might find yourself through the windscreen, still attached to your seat. The seatbelt wont help much either.

    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
