g'day peeps.

as some of you may know, i pranged my car the other week, so i've got some stuff that's gotta go. i need the cash and i don't have a car to put my bits in, at the moment anyway.

for sale is:

1x Phoenix Gold XS6600 6-channel amplifier

* 4x50watts RMS + 2x150w into 4ohm RMS

* bridges 2x180watts and 1x300 again, all RMS

* is 2ohm BRIDGED/1ohm stereo stable

* TAIM muting (eliminates on/off pops)

* hi and low level inputs

* completely configurable 24db/octave hi/lowpass filters

* any frequency between 20hz and 20khz can be selected by using variable "rnets" or resistor networks. factory module set at 90hz.

* variable bass boost (0 to +12db) at 45hz

* >100db signal:noise

to any avid phoenix-philes, the xs is highly regarded. while it hasn't been sold for a while, its an amazing amplifier. i'd put it up against much MUCH pricier competition. its typical phoenix in build and the sound is just sublime.

this amp would be a worth contender for a really nice "one amp" system. will drive pretty much anything with ease (its a very underrated amp). would eat other 3/5/6chans out there with ease. forget all about your audison srx3 and the like... this is the shiznit! icon_lol.gif

it was wired-up in my car and loved for about 1/2 a day, then pulled out while i finished my amp rack. i pranged my car before i could fit it, so its practically brand new. unit is spotless. 100% condition. no marks or blemishes. see pics below.

comes with box, packaging, neat little mounting feet, manuals and all original bits and pieces.

retailed at $1699

negotiable $800ono

1x Eclipse CD8061 and Balanced Line Adaptor

* 8volt pre-outs (16v balanced out)... and this is NOT a fictional output. its pre-outs are AMAZING!

* front, rear and sub outputs.

* external dc-dc converter

* 73db stereo separation

* 100db signal:noise

* 55ohm output impedance for great noise rejection

* motorised front panel

* vaccuum flourescent display panel

* NOB control and NOB remote

* aux input (for mp3/dvd/tv etc...)

* AES/EBU digital output

what is left to be said about this awesome deck!?! sound and image magazine rated it headunit of the year. its taken out HEEEAPS of awards all over the globe for its sublime build and sound. it has seen little use since i took ownership a few month ago. it has been a great unit. very smooth sounding and it posesses extreme detail (perhaps thanks in part to the high-volt pre-outs).

this headie represents a great buy for anyone wanting a fantastic frontend to a system. its SQ is amazing and would gobble up any pioneer/alpine/jvc/kenwoot/clarion under $2k if put head to head.

the unit is in very good condition (only a few superficial marks on the face). pics attached (although the marks didn't come out properly.. prolly cos they're so small).

unit includes the main unit and face bezel/surround. a brand new, non-butchered wiring loom. remote. manual on cd and brand new, never used, matching Balanced Line Adaptor. see pics.

retail was: $1999

negotiable $700ono

and.... PICS! if you want higher res images, PM me with your email and i'll forward them on.

cheers.

david.

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
