RTFGTR
Hi First time I jumped in my car and put it into gear from picking it up from the transport co. I almost burst into tears. Sounded great in N while giving it a look over etc.. and letting it warm up B4 driving off in my 4 month wait (was looking forward to it BAD) Anyway, I put it into gear and all I hear is grrgrrrgrerrr in a high pitch. I think...oh SHIT I got a lemon. I have since been told that thats the way it's meant to sound because it a twin plate. I don't have a great deal of knowledge on clutch technology.. is this true, should it sound like it's going to break? It does drive great though. Any feedback would be appreciated. Amaru
If its a (non-dampened) multi-plate clutch then yes they will rattle alot when youve got the clutch in. They will also make a quick rattle/shriek when starting the car usually.
