Hey fellas i am just interested if you guys have ever been out to see them or know any article i can read about them............it just sounds pretty cool so wanna learn more aboutit. If you can tell me anything i would appreciate it.

Smokey aka Nagata from Top Secret are often referred to as this mysterious 'Midnight Club' in DVD's about the Japan car scene, however pick up any recent option volume and you can see it's not limited to any 'club' as of such.

Or mid-night battles...Kansai has about 10 known to the public/magazines and probably the most popular illegal street circuits spanning from Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe and Nara...because of how close these cities are all clustered together...highways all interconnecting...compared to other cities such as Tokyo.

I said 10 because there are another 15-20 I heard and you need to know someone to know where to meet up for them...but this was back in 2000. There are probably a few more new ones now or less depending if the cops have clamped down on them.

What's always intresting is seeing cars from the West - Hiroshima and North - Gifu here in Osaka during the weekends. Always causing more trouble than a friendly battle...as they don't know the local rules!

My mate Kouta (soon to be on a 3 month study program in Perth) knows where the Tsuruhashi/Nara racers meet coz thats how he smashed his car - midnight racing! ... all Civics, Roadsters and Integras though...

Driving from Kobe to Osaka late one night I passed 4 supras waiting in a kind of emergency off lane. Guessed they were to race but I think this type of racing is difficult to see or get into. Not cheap to drive around tolls all night as well !
