Yeah I been talking to people who I know and they thankfully calmed me down  I'm going to hang around and see what happens next year, see whether I'll stay at home until I finish uni (SIGH!!) or what...

I'm thinking I'll keep the 180 stocko just incase I change my mind, then I won't lose much $ from the mods

Thanks all, especially with the input on those 2 GTRs

Quakin, i was in your shoes 2 weeks ago dude.

Now i drive a R33 SII from EVO motorsport.

What have i found about the car in the past 2 weeks.

Its a head turner, stock, not stock, you will get everyone looking at your car. If you want to float your ego, they are the way to go....

But they also turn the head of cops.... don't expect to go out to civic, any day of the week and not expect to get pulled over from the cops.. its a tuesday and i just came back from a drive, and got pulled over in civic, just ot looks at my rego papers.

Expect to pay alot for petrol, especialy for a daily use car, your in the same boat as me, i drive it to dickson and back( tugg) and i pay a shit load for fuel. Remember the fuel prices are getting higher, and you have to pay for 98 Octane.

You have to take in acount that you have to get it serviced every 5,000km.. 5,000km sounds alot, but personal, in my first 2 weeks, i have driven the car about 1,000km. 4 tanks of petrol, and the costs mount up. Keep in mind that i drive it hard every 2nd night, so your fuel and your km wont be as high as mine. But the costs are still high

If you want it to look cool, your going to take your mates for a drive the first time you get the car. Expect the first month to be a real money eater

Insurance is a big hole in the pocket. I'm paying about $4,000 for comp insurance, do your homework on insurance, and know what your getting into. ALOT, in fact MOST, insurance companys wont touch you no matter what level of cover you want.

I bought mine from EVO as i said, basicaly cos i got a 12 month warrenty with it, unlimited Kms. I have used it so far, just to fix minor things.. My car wasn't idoling properly, and my brakes squeeked. But Evo were more then happy to fix them free of charge. and if the problems persisted, they said they would invite me into the workshop to watch the work they do, just so i was happy.

Also EVO offer people who have purchased cars from them great prices on mods.

But it isn't all doom and gloom, if you havn't driven one of these car, as the movie says, "DO IT, JUST DO IT". You don't know what your buying untill you have test driven one, dealers arn't going to give you the keys easily. So a private drive would be best.

If someone won't let you drive their car, PM me and i come round some time and let you drive mine.

They are awsome to drive, my mate just got a WRX, and said he loved my car, nice handling, nice speed, and good looks all on a stock car.

Bolt on parts, and high majority of Skyline owners moding there cars means plenty of parts. Moding to your dream car will be a breese, and pretty cheap too.

They arn't a car for everyones budget, you have to factor in the maintainance,as your prob know with the 180, but, if you can afford one of these cars, then buy one as quick as you can. They are a hell of a car to drive, and you can teach some holden drivers what a fast car really is. :(

PS. The Miss's Will love you too, she likes the head turns as well.

Hope this help you make up your mind.. PM me if you have any queries, as i was in that exsact boat 2 weeks ago.

And on a another note, go the R33 sII, is going to be worth more in 3 -5 years.
