hungry6
The response of "I don't give a **** about stupid rules like that, you should have just let me go" Common Dan admitted even thought u were in the right and she has absolutely no idea of negotiating a roundabout or the rules relating to it, But you belong to the young male driver demographic, so u are in the eyes of the laws are responsible for any faults incurr by any other older irresposible drivers, So bend over and cop it sweet little boi. :dump: Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/52916-dont-you-love-giving-complete-strangers-a-serve/page/2/#findComment-1043038 Share on other sites

Here in Brizzy we are in a REAL bad fire risk situation at the moment and I must see at least 5 DICKHEADS a day flicking butts out the windows. With everything so dry at the moment that can destroy someones house or even kill people with the fires they start. I have pulled up beside a couple of them and yelled in their window "DIDN'T THAT PIECE OF SHIT COME WITH ASHTRAYS DICKHEAD?" For maximum effect do it at the lights where lots of other people can hear too. Revhead
The ones that annoy me the most are the ones (like the lovely lady above... you sure she's not from Ipswich? ) that genuinely think that they've done nothing wrong. It's amazing how they'll be involved in incident after incident, time after time, and not pick up the common denominator: THEM. And women who think that having kids in the car immediately makes them exempt from every road rule ever made and that every other road user is obliged to immediately stop and pull over. One from the other day: near my place there is a single lane roundabout that also happens to be very large (trucks use it alot - the middle of the three roundabouts between Tivoli and the Karalee turnoff on Mt Crosby Rd for those that know the area). Anyway I was following her, she indicated left just as she passed the road to Karana Downs and went really wide (as you do to turn onto the highway), so I started going up the inside of her, which is perfectly legal as she was indicating to turn off. She goes straight past the onramp and heads for the next turn, swinging the wheel hard in the process and nearly cleaning up the front of the Skyline in the process. I beeped at her, so she brake checked me (not real effective at 20km/h... moron) and pulled over, obviously wanting to discuss the situation. I obliged, and she gave me the line about "me endangering her children" and "young hoons" etc etc, I told her to learn how to drive, learn how to indicate, stop blaming other people for her idiotic driving, and said "if you stop driving like a f*ckwit your kids might see five". She got pretty stroppy and her kids started crying from all the yelling she was doing (which she blamed me for as well) which made her even more upset, I ended up just telling her to stfu and that she was a bigger threat to her children's safety than anyone else on the road and left shaking my head. To this day she probably still thinks that she was in the right. Or she's been cleaned up by someone else. I felt REALLY good after that though Anyway, you should try riding a bike in heavy traffic and see if you can keep count of the number of homocidal idiots you encounter. Okay that's a bit of an exaggeration; but at least a couple of times a week I have to take evasive action because some moron is about to halt my progress. On the rare occasion that you don't get someone who thinks that they're bigger therefore you'll move (or are just plain arrogant to everyone, regardless of vehicle), you can just about guarantee that they'll say "sorry mate, I didn't see you". Fantastic... that would've made any resulting accident FAR less severe you moron. My bike is a bright red, white and black colour scheme (see sig), has an aftermarket exhaust and, like most bikes in Australia, has a permanently-on headlight. So how exactly did you not notice me... or did you just not look? And yes, the tools that flick smokes out of the window piss me off too!! Grrr... hungry6
I had a girl coming at me the wrong way on the large round-about that crosses over the ipswich rd and centenary highway, she wave and i wave , i didn't get agro or come close to being agro, just laffs , maybe it was the size or her asset and the way she smile, that made all rd rule irrelevant at that very instant. But you DO NOT over take on a single lane round-a-bout that is illegal, and somewhat dangerous, now Im not saying she was in the right, she was indercating that she was going to turn off so it should have been ok but its not overly defencive driving, is it. Other wacked thing, what a numbnuts lady! You could have been an axe murderer for all she knew! Pulling over could have put her and her kids in more danger! (I might have miss read the post, but I was under the impression that it was a single lane roundabout, I dont know the area) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/52916-dont-you-love-giving-complete-strangers-a-serve/page/2/#findComment-1048886 Share on other sites

Revhead
daveo, it's a rather large roundabout - it's single lane but there is easily enough room for two as b-doubles often do u-turns there. She moved *all* the way over to the left and actually used a bit of the onramp, and she was indicating, so to me she was leaving the roundabout... until she swung the wheel and nearly ran into me. And when I say swung the wheel, it was like an emergency avoidance thing... maybe she HAD actually meant to turn off there, then suddenly changed her mind without thinking that perhaps she wasn't the only person in the universe on the road. I was on the very inside line (as I was still going around). It's not like I squeezed between her and the middle of the roundabout, there would have been a good 3m between us and she was heading toward the onramp until her sudden change of mind. I can see how it would sound suss if you don't know the area, but believe me, I've replayed it a couple of times in my head, and it was all legit from my end. Yeah I was a little stunned when she pulled over and made it clear she wanted me to do the same... she was about as likely to cop a hit in the head as I was to score a blowjob off the pope, but like you say, she didn't know that. Either way I got to give her a serve Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/52916-dont-you-love-giving-complete-strangers-a-serve/page/2/#findComment-1048942 Share on other sites

dangerous_daveo
Still the point remains, its not legal, its a one lane round-a-bout. You would have been the one to cop it if you two colided, even tho she was indicating incorrectly. Just pointing it out hey dude. Really even with two lane round-a-bouts they arent all the same. Everyone should be reading the arrows that go with that round-a-bout, not just assuming they are all alike. 666DAN
Sonata isn't just another piece of cheap crap Yeah they seem to be a big hit with the over 50's crowd...must be the age where you're easily dissillusioned about what a *real* luxury car is. I don't care what people say...all the chrome plated plastic in the world; a luxury car it does not make. Everyone should be reading the arrows that go with that round-a-bout Still doesn't seem to work on Venner Rd at Fairfield...people still think that the left lane can go straight ahead...but hey if you don't look sideways when you gun through you can't get hit either! Pffft Do you guys notice that.....whenever someone knows they're in the wrong on one, they won't look at you and hope for the best hahahaha. krawler
Some of the worst round abouts in the world are the one near the yatala pie shop and the one under the gateway for airport drive. Two lane round abouts should be standardized. Having these stupid round abouts where the left hand land can go all the way around is promoting confusion. Anyway. I hate those round abouts. And I hate people who cant use roundabouts. Urgh. Revhead
Mick Yeah that's the one! Some people fly through, others do like 5km/h... Daveo I see your point, though I do still believe that she would have been in the wrong given that she had basically left the roundabout and came back on from the wrong direction, up the onramp I got to give her a serve either way Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/52916-dont-you-love-giving-complete-strangers-a-serve/page/2/#findComment-1049187 Share on other sites

Revhead
I had chrome plated plastic in my VC Commodore, which went better and felt safer than the two (!!!) Sonatas owned by my grandparents, and it cost me $900 and a carton of beer. Commodore doesn't sound French though, so it's not posh.
