was only running 14psi, guess ATP is just dodgy, how do you really know what they replace. A friend in the know recons they didn't replace the thrust bearing and thats why the compressor wheel pulled itself out!

Yes, I though the exact same thing when I saw that what a joke and now they say there gear is from the USA when it was originally from Japan.

they show some MASTER POWER turbo's i have 1 on my car now. They are made in Brazil the quality of casting and finish is good. had a turbo guy here inspect it first.

my rb26 made 472bhp at 18psi it is laggy but it comes on real hard.so far so good ive had no probs. i bought mine here in Perth . mine has .70 comp and .84 rear.

  • 1 month later...

Did anyone end up getting one of these? I have been asking around and spoke to a very well know, well respected tuner. He tells me that these turbo’s use old school technology making them quite laggy and so on. Anyway, I have been advised against getting one but I was just interested to see if anyone actually bought one of these turbos?

The turbos are legit but very poor in quality, only get 3 months warranty. They are basicaly cheap copies

states 12months warranty on there web site.

800$ for a direct bolt on 550HP turbo.. you get what you pay for.

i might give one a try, and let people know how it goes.

It will be no where near as good as a real deal garret unit. or a gt-rs.

If it lasts a few weeks I cant see you getting what you paid for mate

I was told to spend twice as much and get a real turbo, new GT25/35...

12months warranty.

if it blows after 1week, get it replaced. untill some one who has used them cares to elaborate how well they work, no one can turn aroudn and say 'they only last a week'. with a 1 year warranty i will be confterble. and if it produces that power for 12months then yes its worth it.

GT25/35 :aroused:

i would take a GT25/35 over one of these ANY day,

but im still going to give it a try, if its not right for me, i will sell it. and get a GENUINE garret.

Yeah well this tuner did buy two and said they wher sh!t  Which sux because I really would have liked a cheap solution. Anyway, you are right if it makes okay power and aint too laggy and lasts at least a year then its okay value.

mate of mine got one for this 200sx ended up going through three of em

fisrt one died on the third dyno run

second one was DOA

third one died after 2 days

the minifold he got frm em is shit as was the wastegate

I bought one all i have to say is he is selling ebay turbos. i did some research he has been operating for about a year under 3 different trading names ang gives false info like the fact they are internally gated which is a load of crap. when i recieved the turbo the plastic bag it was in was starting to crack and go hard indicating that they have been sitting for a long period of time. He also does not know what he is talking about. so DO NOT BUY ONE UNDER ANY CIRUMSTANCES.

    • I have had the r3c in for years now, maybe close to 7 years and it has never missed a beat, anyone can drive it. Super easy to drive around town, the hotter it gets does get a little hard but it holds the power easy as
    • Shit thing to find eh? I guess the big issue is that whatever "fix" you do now, it might slow the rust down but won't fix it. I just wanted to add that in no way is fixing sheet metal in 3 dimensions the place to start with welding....that is a pro only job because its too hard to work out where things should be, let alone doing a clean enough job that it can look OK and still be strong too.  I needed to get a new rear quarter panel on the GTR and it took a pro weeks to get the old one off cleanly, new one on in the right place and looking somewhat like it should have with most of the previous connecting panels in place. Gluing a couple of bits of metal together with a welder in the garage is doable, but that is totally different to doing panel  replacement
    • This seems to be a very popular swap since all the turbo skyline prices went through the roof! I'll let someone more familiar chime in, but I understand that yes you probably want to swap the loom in to swap out the auto TCM stuff. You should not assume everything just plugs in either, you need to check at least the ECU wiring diagram for any differences at the plug at the left headlight and probably the ones near the ECU that join the dash loom too
    • hows it fellas, my first post here which seems crazy cos half the forums i read are like the same age as me haha. to make a long story short ive got an r34 sedan (rb25de neo auto) which im swapping to a s0/s1? rb25det, r33 big box and nismo gt pro lsd. i have the motor and gearbox all bolted up outside the car, old motor and trans out. i bought the motor with stock ecu and loom, do i switch over to that? or will it be easier to get a r34 manual ecu and keep the loom if thats even possible.  also engine mounts look different, anything else thats different or incompatible? cheers, hope this all makes sense Paddy
