anyone know anything about the stealshield ss900 car alarm???

gday guys,

i was checking out new alarm systems, came across this unit on this website http://www.incaroption.com.au/

they're a sydney dealer importer/dealer for the boomerang alarm system.

they have this one listed as well -

"Steal Shield (SS-900) Remote Engine Starter, Immobilizer, Shock sensor, in built Turbo timer, Boot release output, Door bonnet boot protection, code hopping Technology"

for $475 (comparred to the $995 for the boomerang).

i've seen the dodgy looking ones on ebay claiming to do all this, but you'd assume that these guys would have some sort of cred??

anyone know anything about this unit?? anyone have one/know a mate who has one??

is it black wired and asa/insurance compliant? i know its approved in nz, but not sure how their regs match up to ours here.

have searched the forums, didnt turn anything up.

would prefer not to have to either fork out a grand for the boomerang, or risk some dodgy ebay imported unit, and to me, 475 is a pretty decent price, by the time you go and buy a separate alarm kit and turbo timer.

anyone got any first-hand info on it here in australia??
