my supra is going bye bye in the next week which will open me up to some cash, finally. yay. time to mod the 32 some more.

first up will be a set of gtr cams and adj cam gears as well as some new rotors and pads, and i'll be looking at buying a hood and spoiler to finish off the looks.

more than likely i will get a vented cf over fibreglass bonnet from uas or carmate. and i will probably paint the hood to red to match.

wondering what peoples opinions were about cf on red. does anyone have any examples as i can't seem to find any when searching around. i know cf on white looks the goods and blends well with black, but im unsure about red.

ON my wine red r33 i would love to put a Carbon Fibre bonnet on but i just don't htink it looks as nice... as mentioned cf looks good with white to stand out and goes well with black (near same colour) but from the examples i have seen it just doesn't do it for me.

What does tickle my fancy is though the bonnets i have seen on r34 gtrs eg bonnet with just one big inverted scoop down the middle.... anyone have any pics of these? and know where to source them.. just a bonnet with the 1 big scoop...

coco 69 i think any model wine red skyline will look mad with this bonnet on..... now if someone can find some pics on a 32 or 33...

silver gts-t, yeah if i paint over it, might as well just go full fibreglass instead of the mixed as it will be cheaper...

25gtt, the one i had in mind has the large middle scoop as well as a few other side ones, looks a little crowded but should look good...

managed to find this pic, looks quite sexy here

i was thinking about rezz's car which has many black components, how come his looks so great. but i figured it was because he has quite a lot of black matching parts such as wheels, aero mirrors, lip and boot spoiler. hmmm....

edit: just found this picture on my comp, wonder if it belongs to a member here. anyway, i think it looks quite tough... r33 colour is similar slightly less metallic i find but a similar tone.

edit: oops here...

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
